The aim of the series Worlds of South and Inner Asia of the Swiss Asia Society is to publish highquality, representative work issuing from academic research on all aspects of South and Inner Asia. It comprises, and accepts, studies on historical and present-day South and Inner Asian cultures and societies covering the fields of history, literature, thought, politics and art as well as translations and interpretations of important primary sources. Furthermore the series intends to present studies that offer expert knowledge on current themes appealing not only to the aca demic public, but also to an audience generally interested in South and Inner Asia. One important goal of the series is to establish a forum for academic work in the fields of the humanities and social sciences in Switzerland. However, the series is also committed to the rich variety of studies and writings in the international research community. The main publication languages for monographs and collections (by individual or several contributors) are German, French, and English. The series is supervised and internally reviewed by an editorial board which is advised by leading scholars in the academic fields concerned. La collection Mondes de l'Asie du Sud et de l'Asie centrale, publiée sous l'égide de la Société Suisse - Asie, accueille des études représentatives et de haute qualité sur l'Asie du Sud et l'Asie centrale. Elle propose aussi bien des études portant sur les cultures et sociétés du présent et du passé - que ce soit dans les domaines de l'histoire, de la littérature, de la philosophie, de la politique et de l'art - que des traductions et des travaux d'interprétation de sources importantes. Elle entend également publier des recherches sur des thèmes centraux et d'actualité qui s'adressent à un public plus large. La collection se veut être un point de rencontre de la recherche suisse dans le domaine des études de l'Asie du Sud et de l'Asie centrale, mais est aussi ouverte à des travaux issus de la communauté scientifi que internationale. Elle accueille des monographies et des ouvrages collectifs, rédigés en allemand, français ou anglais. La collection est dirigée par un comité de rédaction avec l'appui de chercheurs reconnus dans les diverses disciplines concernées. In der Reihe Welten Süd- und Zentralasiens der Schweizerischen Asiengesellschaft werden repräsentative, qualitativ hochstehende Forschungsarbeiten zu den Kulturen und Gesellschaf ten Süd- und Zentralasiens in Vergangenheit und Gegenwart publiziert. Die Reihe nimmt Studien zu verschiedenen Bereichen wie Geschichte, Literatur, Philosophie, Politik und Kunst sowie Übersetzungen und Interpretationen von Quellentexten auf. Sie will aber auch Arbeiten zu aktuellen Themen und Fragen anbieten, die neben einem wissenschaftlichen Zielpublikum einer breiter interessierten Leserschaft zugänglich sind. Die Reihe versteht sich als Forum für geistes- und sozialwissenschaftliche Arbeiten aus der Schweiz, ist aber auch offen für Beiträge aus der internationalen Forschung. Die Hauptpublikationssprachen für die Monographien und Sammelbände sind Deutsch, Französisch und Englisch. Die Reihe wird von einem Herausgebergremium geleitet, das von führenden Fachvertreterinnen und Fachvertretern aus den jeweiligen akademischen Disziplinen beraten wird.

"From Antiquity to Modernity: Studies on Middle Eastern and Asian Societies is a series focusing on aspects central to Middle Eastern, Central Asian, and South Asian societies in the past and the present. It is designed to contribute toward better understandings of those important regions’ peoples. Original research within the disciplines of anthropology, archeology, art history, cultural studies, economics, history, history of science, international relations, languages, literatures, politics, religions, and sociology will be published. Interdisciplinary, cross-disciplinary, and multidisciplinary studies are welcome as well. So are ones that advance methodologies relating to complexities of the Middle East, Central Asia, and South Asia. Manuscripts can be single- authored or co-authored; edited volumes that form a cohesive body of knowledge will be considered, too. Each book-length manuscript will undergo editorial and peer review prior to acceptance for publication. Individual volumes in From Antiquity to Modernity are of particular value to individuals studying and investigating the Middle East and Asia at universities, think tanks, and governmental and nongovernmental agencies while also being of interest to the general educated reader. New International Insights/Nouveaux Regards sur l’International

In tribute to the late founder of the collection, Eric Remacle, the editors have proposed to call this book series New　International Insights. The novelty thus pursued consists of inviting prospective authors also to view the situations, case-studies and dynamics they analyse and conceptualise as innovative in an increasingly multipolar world order, more than as a mere continuation of past evolutions and theories. This is the approach characterising the editors' own research. Over a quarter of a century after the end of the cold war, Eurasian as well as Transatlantic, Asian-Pacific and pan-American constant innovations question most analytical conclusions almost as soon as they are reached. Yet, there is a need for theory. Examples would exceed the scope of this short presentation but a worthwhile illustration can be suggested : the turning point whereby an already innovative, sino-postsoviet Asia has proven capable, while still in its affirmative stage, to engage South Asia and construct a China-Russia-India triangle that offsets or even jeopardises most existing visions of Asia, notably neo-realist ones. Traditional visions thus yield to contemporary uncertainties. While non-State actors are still causing States to wither, withdraw or falter, new transnational and even transcontinental constructions are bringing States back in, however much around different objectives : logistical and commercial, while military cooperation appears a dated and questionable form of security enforcement. New　International Insights aims at balancing book publications among authors of all intellectual origins, western as well as eastern, northern as well as southern. Only in this manner can it hope to take the vision of its early founders one step further. A post-modern world needs post-western epistemology in order to wield its new meaning. Manuscripts in political science and social sciences are encouraged for submission, preferably in English, not exceeding 650 000 signs. En hommage au fondateur de l’ancienne collection Regards sur l’international, Eric REMACLE, les éditeurs ont proposé de le renommer New International Insights. Leur objectif consiste à inviter les auteurs potentiels à considérer les situations, les études de cas et les dynamiques qu'ils souhaitent analyser et conceptualiser comme innovantes dans un ordre mondial de plus en plus multipolaire, plus que comme une simple continuation des évolutions et des théories passées. C'est l'approche qui caractérise les propres recherches des éditeurs. Plus d'un quart de siècle après la fin de la guerre froide, les innovations constantes eurasiennes, transatlantiques, asiatiques-pacifiques et panaméricaines remettent en question les conclusions les plus analytiques presque aussitôt qu'elles ont été formulées. Pourtant, il y a un besoin de théorie. Les exemples dépasseraient le cadre de cette brève présentation, mais une illustration valable peut être suggérée: le tournant par lequel une Asie sino-post-soviétique déjà innovante s'est révélée capable, tout en étant au stade de sa première affirmation, d’engager l'Asie du Sud et de construire une relation triangulaire Chine-Russie-India qui bouscule, voire remet en question la plupart des visions existantes de l’Asie, notamment les visions néoréalistes. Les visions traditionnelles cèdent ainsi aux incertitudes contemporaines. Alors que les acteurs non-étatiques provoquent toujours le recul, le retrait ou le trébuchement des États, de nouvelles constructions trans-nationales et même trans-continentales, font «　revenir　» les États, même si c’est autour d’objectifs différents: logistiques et commerciaux, tandis que la coopération militaire apparaît comme une forme datée et remise en question de mise en œuvre de la sécurité . New International Insights vise à équilibrer les publications de livres d'auteurs de toutes origines intellectuelles, occidentales et orientales, d’auteurs du Nord et du Sud. Ce n’est qu’ainsi que l’on pourra espérer faire avancer la vision de ses premiers fondateurs. Un monde post-moderne a besoin d’une épistémologie post-occidentale pour dévoiler sa nouvelle signification. Les manuscrits en science politique et en sciences sociales sont invités à être soumis, de préférence en anglais, n'excédant pas 650 000 signes, notes et annexes comprises.

Beiträge zur Pädagogischen und Rehabilitationspsychologie. Studies in Educational and Rehabilitation Psychology

The book series Contributions to Educational and Rehabilitation Psychology has been published since 2010 with the aim of documenting new scientific approaches and topical trends from the highly differentiated fields of educational and rehabilitative psychology. The previous main topics were related to basic phenomena of memory and learning, new learning methods which can be used in school lessons and rehabilitative training, learning and adjustment disorders as well as coping with traumatic experiences e.g., after severe natural disasters, such as the 2004 tsunami in South-East Asia. The monographs and anthologies are edited by certified psychologist, Prof. Dr. Evelin Witruk in German and English. Die Reihe Beiträge zur Pädagogischen und Rehabilitationspsychologie erscheint seit 2010 mit dem Ziel, neue wissenschaftliche Zugänge und aktuelle Trends aus den weit verzweigten Gebieten der Pädagogischen Psychologie und der Rehabilitationspsychologie zu dokumentieren. Schwerpunkte liegen auf Basisphänomenen von Gedächtnis und Lernen, neuen Lernmethoden, die in Unterricht und Rehabilitation Anwendung finden können, Lern- und Anpassungsstörungen sowie der Verarbeitung traumatischer Erlebnisse, z. B. nach schweren Naturkatastrophen wie dem Tsunami 2004 in Südostasien. Die Monographien und Sammelbände werden von Frau Diplompsychologin, Prof. Dr. Evelin Witruk in deutscher und englischer Sprache herausgegeben.

Religionswissenschaft / Studies in Comparative Religion

The book series "Religionswissenschaft / Studies in Comparative Religion" publishes studies in Religions of Asia in history and the present, either as monographs or edited volumes. Topics to be dealt with in the series cover local traditions and developments both of "world religions" and minority religions, geographically focussing on South, Southeast and Western Asia. Also studies in theory and methods of religion are welcome. The book series publishes books in German, English or French. The series was discontinued in December 2022. Die Reihe "Religionswissenschaft / Studies in Comparative Religion" bietet innerhalb des Gebiets der Religionswissenschaft ein Forum für die Veröffentlichung von Studien zu Religionen Asiens. Die Monographien und Sammelbände der Reihe behandeln sowohl lokale Ausformungen von Buddhismus, Hinduismus, Islam, Zoroastrismus und Christentum als auch religiöse Minderheiten in Geschichte und Gegenwart. Ein gewisser geographischer Fokus liegt dabei auf Süd-, Südost- und Westasien. Genauso bietet die Reihe aktuellen Studien zu Religionstheorie, religionswissenschaftlicher Methodik und Religionsphilosophie im internationalen Vergleich passenden Raum. Die Reihe erscheint in deutscher, englischer und französischer Sprache. Die Reihe wurde im Dezember 2022 eingestellt.
