Die 1986 von Paul Gerhard Klussmann begründete Reihe der Bochumer Schriften zur deutschen Literatur (BSdL) versammelt neugermanistische Dissertationen, die am Germanistischen Institut der Ruhr-Universität verfasst und/oder von einem Mitglied des Herausgebergremiums betreut wurden. Die BSdL dokumentieren in ihrer thematischen Breite und methodischen Vielfalt das wissenschaftliche Profil der Bochumer Neugermanistik und bieten den Nachwuchsforscher(inne)n eine internationale publizistische Plattform. Die Reihe wird unter dem neuen Titel Bochumer Schriften zur deutschen Literatur. Neue Folge fortgeführt.

The City as Place: Emotions, Experiences, and Meanings

The purpose of this series is to examine the city as a lived place. Specifically, we are interested in the ways in which the city is invested with meaning through everyday lived experiences. The series is particularly interested in submissions that focus on the perceptual and felt dimensions of urban places through exploring the experiential, emotional, sensory, and affective dimensions that contribute to how people behave in, feel about, and move around in cities. Books in this series will interrogate the relationship between people and place through a focus on the diverse ways in which subjective and intimate feelings are fundamental constituents of the urban experience. We encourage authors to examine the city as a lived place from a range of different perspectives, and to be inclusive of individual and collective voices in the city to better understand the historical development and contemporary evolution of diverse urban settings. Some of the questions we seek to explore through the series include, but are not restricted to: How is the city experienced, by whom, and how does this change over time? Who shapes the experience of the city and for what reasons? How do individual and shared joy, fear, pride, nostalgia, disgust, or other emotions, shape the meanings attributed to urban spaces? How does the lived experience of, and emotional connections to, urban places inform the way particular spaces within cities are preserved and memorialized, or alternatively demolished and redeveloped? In what ways is our understanding of the lived experience of the city sharpened through the lens of comparative, transnational, and global approaches? The series seeks to examine the real and the imaginary, the representational and the non-representational, the historical and the contemporary, the remembered and the recreated in all historical periods including research on the twenty-first-century city. The series is open to work covering all geographic areas, and we encourage authors, where possible and relevant, to situate their studies in comparative, transnational, or global perspectives. This series focuses on the political, economic and cultural changes in Eastern Europe and the former Soviet Union. It offers a platform for inter-disciplinary research on this multifaceted part of the world. The focus lies mainly on current and recent developments in societies and political systems; but research on cultural and historical backgrounds has its place here, too. The range of disciplines includes political science, history, and social anthropology, but also philosophy, cultural studies, and literary criticism. The articles are written in English.

The series SLOVO. Slavonic Studies provides a forum for current contributions concerning Slavonic languages, literatures and cultures using, among others, a philological approach. The series is intended to focus on established and innovative fields of research and to reflect the links between subjects in an interdisciplinary manner. The aim of this series is to publish monographs and collections of papers in Slavonic and comparative linguistics and literature studies. Die Reihe SLOVO. Slavistische Studien bietet Raum für aktuelle wissenschaftliche Publikationen zu den slawischen Sprachen, Literaturen und Kulturen mit einer in erster Linie philologischen Ausrichtung. Dabei ist sie offen für neuere ebenso wie für traditionelle Forschungsansätze sowie für interdisziplinäre Fragestellungen. Gleichermaßen willkommen sind vergleichend angelegte Monographien und Sammelbände aus Literatur- und Sprachwissenschaft.

Germanica Pacifica

Germanica Pacifica is the academic series of the Research Centre for Germanic Connections with New Zealand and the Pacific of the University of Auckland, New Zealand. The Centre's primary objective is to encourage research on the historical and cultural links between New Zealand and the Pacific region on the one hand and the German-speaking countries on the other. Germanica Pacifica publishes monographs and collections of essays which highlight these cultural links. Bochumer Schriften zur deutschen Literatur. Neue Folge

Die 1986 von Paul Gerhard Klussmann begründete Reihe Bochumer Schriften zur deutschen Literatur verstand sich als publizistische Plattform für neugermanistische Dissertationen, die am Germanistischen Institut der Ruhr-Universität verfasst und/oder von einem Mitglied des Herausgebergremiums betreut wurden. Bis 2013 erschienen 75 Bände. Eine 2014 erfolgte Neuausrichtung öffnet die Reihe über qualitativ anspruchsvolle, mindestens mit magna cum laude benotete Dissertationen hinaus auch für andere Publikationsformen unter Bochumer (Mit-)Autorschaft oder (Mit-)Herausgeberschaft. Die NEUE FOLGE der Bochumer Schriften zur deutschen Literatur will so die Arbeit und das Profil der Bochumer Neugermanistik, insbesondere auch der dort forschenden Nachwuchswissenschaftler/innen, dokumentieren. Das Style Sheet für die Reihe kann hier abgerufen werden. Die Bände 1 - 75 sind unter dem Titel Bochumer Schriften zur deutschen Literatur erschienen.

The aim of the series Worlds of East Asia of the Swiss Asia Society is to publish high-quality, representative work issuing from academic research on all aspects of East Asia. It comprises, and receives, studies on present-day and historical East Asian cultures and societies covering the fields of art, literature and thought as well as translations and interpretations of important sources. Furthermore the series intends to present studies that offer expert knowledge on relevant themes and current questions appealing not only to the academic public, but also to an audience generally interested in East Asia. One important goal of the series is to establish a forum for academic work in the fields of the humanities and social sciences in Switzerland. However, the series is also committed to the rich variety of studies and writing on East Asia in the international research community. The main publication languages for studies, collections (by individual or several contributors), and surveys are therefore German, French, and English. The series is supervised and internally reviewed by an editorial board comprising leading representatives in East Asian studies. La série Mondes de l’Extrême-Orient de la Société Suisse-Asie publie des recherches de qualité représentatives de la recherche académique sur les cultures et sociétés de l’Asie orientale. Elle propose des études dans des domaines variés comme l’art, la littérature, et la pensée, anciens ou modernes, ainsi que des traductions et interprétations de sources. Elle publie également des travaux qui traitent de questions plus actuelles ou immédiates, de façon compétente mais abordable, avec le souhait de toucher, au-delà des cercles académiques, le grand public cultivé. L’un des buts de la série est de servir de forum pour les sciences humaines et sociales dans le domaine des études asiatique en Suisse. Les travaux de la communauté scientifique internationale sont cependant les bienvenus. Les langues principales des travaux, collections, ou recueils thématiques sont l’allemand, le français et l’anglais. Die Reihe Welten Ostasiens der Schweizerischen Asiengesellschaft stellt repräsentative Arbeiten aus der facettenreichen akademischen Forschung vor. Sie nimmt Studien zu den ostasiatischen Kulturen und Gesellschaften in Gegenwart und Vergangenheit in den Bereichen Kunst, Literatur und Denken sowie Übersetzungen und Interpretationen von Quellentexten auf. Sie will aber auch Arbeiten anbieten, die in allgemein verständlicher Weise kompetentes Wissen zu relevanten und aktuellen Fragen vermitteln und neben dem wissenschaftlichen Zielpublikum auch einer breiter interessierten Leserschaft zugänglich sind. In erster Linie ist sie ein Forum für geistes- und sozialwissenschaftliche Arbeiten aus der Schweiz, daneben werden aber auch Beiträge aus der internationalen Forschung aufgenommen. Die Hauptpublikationssprachen für die Studien, Sammelbände und Übersichtswerke sind Deutsch, Französisch und Englisch.
