Georges Pompidou – Archives

The «Georges Pompidou Archives» Series publishes thematic volumes aiming at retracing George Pompidou’’s most telling actions. The documents presented are mostly extracted from the archives of the French Presidency of the Republic. They consist of accounts of interviews, collaborators’’ notes, letters, newspaper articles… These publications first run from 1962 to 1968, years during which Pompidou was Général de Gaulle’’s Prime Minister, and then focus on the 1969–1974 period, when George Pompidou himself became President. Each volume of this series, which offers original analysis of each document used, is achieved by a scholar and research associate of the Georges Pompidou Association. The National archives and the Georges Pompidou Association, through its scientific board, are in charge of this series. Also have a look at the series «Georges Pompidou – Études». La série « Archives » de la collection « Georges Pompidou » est consacrée à la publication de volumes thématiques représentatifs de l’’action de Georges Pompidou. Les documents sont essentiellement issus des archives de la présidence de la République. Ils se composent de comptes rendus d’entretiens, de notes de collaborateurs, de correspondances, d’interventions dans la presse, etc. Pour l’essentiel, ces publications couvrent la période 1962–1968, où Georges Pompidou fut le Premier ministre du général de Gaulle, et la période 1969–1974, durant laquelle Georges Pompidou fut président de la République française. Chaque volume est mis en œuvre par un universitaire et un chargé de recherches de l’association Georges Pompidou, qui proposent des analyses inédites de chacun de ces documents. La série est placée sous le patronage conjoint de l’association Georges Pompidou, par l’intermédiaire de son conseil scientifique, et des Archives nationales. The series provides a forum for interdisciplinary discussion of aspects of a cultural science-oriented economics. Representations of economic relationships in literature and other arts, cultural sociological studies on the relationship between art, culture and economics, linguistics and literary analysis of economic narratives and metaphors, and the importance of cultural studies concepts such as fictionality and virtuality in the context of financial economics are topics of the series. Also, studies on the design and manipulation of spaces, time management and cultural practices are within its scope. Construire l’Europe, ce n’est pas seulement élargir l’Union ou doter les institutions communes de nouvelles compétences. C’est aussi promouvoir l’Europe dans la diversité de ses cultures et de ses passés qui participent tous à la conscience que les peuples européens ont de leur destin commun. Préparer l’avenir de l’Union demande donc de se souvenir de ce passé. Car la connaissance de l’histoire contribue à maîtriser la mémoire collective. La collection «　L’Europe et les Europes　» se donne comme objectif de publier des travaux historiques consacrés aux Etats et aux nations européennes, à leurs relations, entre eux et avec l’ensemble du monde. Elle privilégie l’étude des crises internationales, la démarche comparative et l’histoire de l’histoire. Si le politique, qu’il s’agisse d’institutions, de doctrines ou de mentalités occupe une place de choix, la collection est également ouverte aux sciences sociales et humaines, en souhaitant refléter ainsi les activités de l’Association internationale d’histoire contemporaire de l’Europe. "inklings - Jahrbuch für Literatur" bildet ein Forum für wissenschaftliche Aufsätze zur fantastischen Literatur von den Anfängen bis zur Gegenwart, insbesondere aber zu den Autoren des Oxforder Inklings-Kreises (J.R.R. Tolkien, C.S. Lewis u.a.) und deren Anregern. Die Beiträge sind nicht auf literaturwissenschaftliche Themen beschränkt, sondern beleuchten auch philosophische, theologische, kunst- und musikgeschichtliche, medienkundliche, soziologische und pädagogische Aspekte. Zwei Drittel der Aufsätze dokumentieren die Beiträge zu den Symposien der Inklings-Gesellschaft. Band 39 schließt dieses Jahrbuch ab.

Early Christianity in the Context of Antiquity

The series ECCA (Early Christianity in the Context of Antiquity) seeks to publish monographs and edited volumes that take as their theme early Christianity and its connections with the religion(s) and culture(s) of antiquity and late antiquity. Special attention is given to the interactions between religion and culture, as well as to the influences that diverse religions and cults had on one another. Works published in ECCA extend chronologically from the second century B.C.E. to the fifth century C.E. and geographically across the expanse of the Roman empire and its immediate neighbors. Prior to publication, the quality of the work published in this series is reviewed by the editors of the series and by members of the academic advisory board. Proposals are welcome for mongraphs or edited volumes. America Romana

Im Wintersemester 2009/2010 wurde an der Universität Trier eine neue Forschungseinrichtung mit dem Namen America Romana Centrum (ARC) gegründet, die der auf Amerika zentrierten romanistischen Forschung und Lehre einen institutionellen Rahmen gibt. Ziel des ARC ist es, die Tradition der sprachenübergreifenden Romanistik, die für Europa so beeindruckende Resultate geliefert hat, auf Amerika anzuwenden: Das Französische in Kanada, der Karibik und in Südamerika (Guyana), das Spanische als Staatssprache von 19 Ländern zwischen dem Rio Grande und Feuerland sowie das Portugiesische in Brasilien sollen ebenso wie franko- und ibero-kreolische Varianten bzw. die nach Amerika verpflanzten Ausprägungen des Italienischen (und neuerdings des Rumänischen) im Zentrum der Aufmerksamkeit stehen. Die interdisziplinären Auseinandersetzungen mit dem Raum America Romana fokussieren gegenseitige Beeinflussungen, aber auch Abgrenzungen sowie Berührungen mit anderen Sprachen, Literaturen und Kulturen.

Die Herausgeber dieser neuen Reihe präsentieren kunstwissenschaftliche Schriften, die aus dem Institut für Kunstgeschichte der Universität Bern hervorgegangen sind: Forschungsarbeiten, Akten von Kongressen und Tagungen, Dissertationen, Quelleneditionen. Die Neuen Berner Schriften zur Kunst sind zugleich offen für andernorts entstandene Arbeiten. Ihre Thematik umfasst grundsätzlich die gesamte Kunstgeschichte, doch sollen Publikationen zur Kunstgeschichte der Schweiz besonders gefördert werden.

Studien zum vergleichenden und internationalen Recht / Comparative and International Law Studies

Die Reihe nimmt Werke, insbesondere anspruchsvolle Dissertationen, auf, die rechtsvergleichende Themen, vornehmlich des Zivilrechts in seiner ganzen Spannweite, vor allem aber des internationalen Privatrechts und des internationalen Zivilverfahrensrechts untersuchen. Ein Schwerpunkt liegt im Kollisionsrecht. Auch völkerrechtliche Veröffentlichungen, die einen engeren Bezug zum Zivil- und Verfahrensrecht haben, fallen in das Publikationsprofil der Schriftenreihe.
