While most traditional world religions seem to face a fundamental identity and cultural crisis, signs are indicating that there is a universal need for new spiritual demands and revival, new awakenings of religious practices and feelings. What are the facts beyond these movements? Is there a new human religiosity in the making? This series will try to bring together witnesses, thinkers, believers and non-believers, historians, scientists of religion, theologians, psychologists, sociologists, philosophers and general writers, from different cultures and languages, to offer a broader perspective on one of the key issues of our new world civilisation in the making. Tandis que les principales religions traditionnelles du monde semblent confrontées à une crise identitaire et culturelle fondamentale, on voit partout se manifester une renaissance des besoins de spiritualité et de nouvelles pratiques religieuses. Quelles sont les motivations des hommes et des femmes qui soutiennent ces nouvelles tendances ? Assistons-nous à la naissance d’une nouvelle religiosité humaine ? Cette collection a pour but de rassembler les travaux de témoins, penseurs, croyants et incroyants, historiens, spécialistes des religions, théologiens, psychologues, sociologues, philosophes et écrivains, tous issus de différentes cultures et différentes langues, pour offrir une perspective plus large sur l’un des problèmes clés de la civilisation universelle que nous sommes en train de construire.

Géopolitique et résolution des conflits / Geopolitics and Conflict Resolution

This series welcomes contributions seeking to analyse the geopolitical changes which have been such a prominent feature of the European and world arena since 1989. At the European level, there is a particular focus on post-Cold War conflicts along with the transformation which has occurred in relations between the European Union and major powers. At a world level, major upheavals have radically altered the ground rules for understanding conflicts and crises. They have also had far-reaching implications for the prevention, management and resolution of disputes. In this context, the series is open to theoretical and empirical studies which critically examine the international implications and progress of specific conflicts and peace processes. The scientific board of the «Geopolitics and Conflict Resolution» series is made up of the members of the Centre d'études des crises et des conflits internationaux of the Université catholique de Louvain (CECRI-UCL) and of the «EU-Russia» and «EU-China» Baillet Latour Chairs UCL-KUL. Cette collection accueille des travaux dont l’objectif est d’analyser les changements géopolitiques ayant marqué la scène européenne et mondiale depuis 1989. Au niveau européen, une attention particulière est consacrée aux conflits post-guerre froide ainsi qu’à la transformation des relations entre l’Union européenne et les grandes puissances. Au niveau mondial, d’intenses bouleversements ont radicalement modifié les grilles de lecture des crises et des conflits, qu’il s’agisse de la prévention, de la gestion ou de la résolution de ceux-ci. Dans cette perspective, la collection est ouverte aux réflexions théoriques et aux études empiriques portant sur le déroulement et les implications internationales de conflits et processus de paix spécifiques. La collection « Géopolitique et résolution des conflits » réunit dans son équipe éditoriale les membres du Centre d’études des crises et des conflits internationaux de l’Université catholique de Louvain (CECRI-UCL) et des Chaires Baillet Latour « Union européenne – Russie » et « Union européenne – Chine » UCL-KUL.

The «International Triffin Foundation», hosted by the Institute for European Studies at the Université catholique de Louvain (Belgium), has the objective of establishing a centre dedicated to the continuation of the scientific work and the intellectual legacy of Robert Triffin (1911–1993) in the field of the international monetary system, and more generally in the areas of economics, finance and the social sciences. Regular publications in the series «International Financial Relations» will ensure promotion of individual or collective works whose main themes are the ones with which Robert Triffin was particularly associated (the European Payments Union, the creation of Special Drawing Rights, the European Monetary System), as well as addressing the new problems which the international monetary system will be confronting at the dawn of the 21st century (external effects of the European Economic and Monetary Union, new tasks for the International Monetary Fund, prevention of financial crises, etc.). La « Fondation internationale Triffin », établie près l’Institut d’études européennes de l’Université catholique de Louvain (Belgique), s’est fixé pour objectif de constituer un centre dédié à la poursuite du travail scientifique et à la valorisation de l’héritage intellectuel de Robert Triffin (1911-1993) sur le système monétaire international, et plus généralement dans les domaines de l’économie, de la finance et des sciences sociales. Les publications de la collection « Relations financières internationales » assurent la promotion de travaux individuels et collectifs dont les thèmes centraux sont ceux auxquels Robert Triffin était particulièrement attaché – l’Union européenne des paiements, la création de Droits de Tirage Spéciaux, le Système monétaire européen. La collection accueille également des ouvrages qui abordent les futures difficultés auxquelles sera confronté le système monétaire international à l’aube du XXIe siècle, tels que les effets extérieurs de l’Union économique et monétaire européenne, les nouvelles tâches du Fonds monétaire international ou la prévention des crises financières. Construire l’Europe, ce n’est pas seulement élargir l’Union ou doter les institutions communes de nouvelles compétences. C’est aussi promouvoir l’Europe dans la diversité de ses cultures et de ses passés qui participent tous à la conscience que les peuples européens ont de leur destin commun. Préparer l’avenir de l’Union demande donc de se souvenir de ce passé. Car la connaissance de l’histoire contribue à maîtriser la mémoire collective. La collection «　L’Europe et les Europes　» se donne comme objectif de publier des travaux historiques consacrés aux Etats et aux nations européennes, à leurs relations, entre eux et avec l’ensemble du monde. Elle privilégie l’étude des crises internationales, la démarche comparative et l’histoire de l’histoire. Modernity in Question

The main idea behind this interdisciplinary series is to publish works of philosophers on topics related to contemporary debates on modernity and post-modernity. In philosophy as well as in human sciences, the concept of modernity has been widely discussed for decades, particularly after the collapse of communism. That crisis has been commonly described as the end, if not of modernity as such, at least of some modernity. Different terms like post-modernity or reflexive modernity indicate not only transformations in social, economic and political structures, but also in manners of thinking, of conceptualising reality. The series is open to collaborative works between East- and West-European scholars. Authors are welcome to submit manuscripts for monographs, anthologies and post-conference volumes.

This series examines the powerful influences of human and mediated communication in delivering care and promoting health. Books analyze the ways that strategic communication humanizes and increases access to quality care as well as examining the use of communication to encourage proactive health promotion. Pour une histoire nouvelle de l’Europe

Cette collection a été conçue comme représentative des travaux du Labex (laboratoire d’excellence) EHNE, « Écrire une histoire nouvelle de l’Europe », créé en 2012. Renonçant à une approche dominée par les dimensions politique et institutionnelle, EHNE appréhende l’histoire selon une démarche thématique recouvrant une large palette de champs qu’elle saisit dans leurs évolutions autonomes. Elle revêt une dimension globale en ce qu’elle cherche à comprendre les transversalités et les modes d’interaction existant entre ces champs en vue d’une interprétation d’ensemble. Les travaux du Labex EHNE s’articulent ainsi autour de sept axes : « L’Europe comme produit de la civilisation matérielle », « L’Europe dans une épistémologie du politique », « L’humanisme européen ou la construction d’une Europe « pour soi » entre affirmation et crise identitaires », « L’Europe, les européens et le monde », « L’Europe des guerres et des traces de guerre », « Genre et identités européennes », « Traditions nationales, circulations et identités dans l’art européen ». La collection « Pour une histoire nouvelle de l’Europe » réunit les travaux, monographies, colloques ou tables rondes, issus des travaux d’EHNE. Ces derniers se veulent des contributions et synthèses partielles constitutives d’une entreprise d’ensemble se développant sur plusieurs années.
