This series is concerned with Eastern Orthodox Christianity in its various manifestations. Originating as the church of the East Roman or Byzantine empire, Eastern Orthodoxy comprises the group of churches that owe allegiance to the Ecumenical Patriarchate in Constantinople. The Orthodox Church has exercised unparalleled influence over the history, thought, and culture of the region and remains one of the most dynamic and creative forces in Christendom today. The series will publish studies in English, both monographs and edited collections, in all areas of social, cultural, and political activity in which the Orthodox Church can be seen to have played a major role.

Eastern European Studies in Musicology

This publication series was established with the aim of spreading the leading achievements of Polish, Central and Eastern European musicologists active in various fields of musicology. These fields include music history and musical traditions, ethnomusicology and musical anthropology, as well as music sociology, aesthetics and philosophy. The series will feature different genres: monographic works, collections of essays, articles and dissertations by a single author, as well as collective works and scientific conference proceedings. The editorial team will be working not only with renowned scholars but also young post-doctoral authors. Authors who arrive at music from different fields of the humanities in the context of interdisciplinary studies are also encouraged.

Its titles and topics present significant works of the Research Centre of the Slovenian Academy of Sciences and Arts (ZRC SAZU) whose multidisciplinary structure brings together philosophy, social anthropology, archaeology, general and cultural history, art history, musicology, linguistics, literary studies, sociology, ethnology, folklore, and geography. The aim of the series is to publish in-depth studies in the humanities and social sciences produced not only by ZRC SAZU but also by other scholars from Slovenia and elsewhere.

Die Reihe Die Deutschen und das östliche Europa. Studien und Quellen publiziert ein breites Spektrum von Beiträgen aus der Geschichtswissenschaft. Im Mittelpunkt der Monographien und Sammelbände steht dabei die Analyse der deutschen Historie in Osteuropa und das Verhältnis von Deutschland zu seinen osteuropäischen Nachbarn. Hierbei werden auch Fragestellungen der Politikwissenschaft und der Ethnologie aufgegriffen. Herausgegeben wird die Reihe von den Historikern Eva und Hans Henning Hahn sowie Tobias Weger. Die Reihe Leipziger Beiträge zur Orientforschung widmet sich Themen und Problemfeldern der islamischen Welt in Vergangenheit und Gegenwart. Das Spektrum reicht von rechtlichen, historischen, religiösen, kulturellen, sprachlichen, politischen und sozial-ökonomischen Fragestellungen bis hin zu vergleichenden "area studies". Internationales und Europäisches Strafverfahrensrecht

Die Reihe "Internationales und Europäisches Strafverfahrensrecht" publiziert Studien aus dem Fachbereich der Rechtswissenschaft. Die Beiträge widmen sich einerseits der Rechtsvergleichung unterschiedlicher Strafprozessordnungen und andererseits juristischen Fragen bezüglich des europäischen Strafverfahrens, insbesondere der Prozesse des Europäischen Gerichtshofs für Menschenrechte.
