Belgian Francophone Library

As Belgium has become a center and focal point of the resurgent new Europe, the Belgian Francophone Library was founded as a special series devoted to the rich and varied literature and cultural life of the French-speaking community in Belgium. The series will publish English translations of important works of Belgian literature, as well as critical studies, principally in French and English, of Belgian literature, culture, and social history. It is the hope of series editor and the initial contributors to the series to broaden knowledge of the specificity, fascination, and enduring artistic contribution of this crossroads country. English Corpus Linguistics

English Corpus Linguistics comprises studies that use a corpus-based methodology for the linguistic analysis of English-language real-world texts. The corpus methodology permits both synchronic and diachronic research. The outcomes may be primary linguistics research, or studies utilising concordancing tools to advance lexicographic, morphological or syntactic analyses. The series additionally supports academic study of the corpus methodology and the implementation of corpora in language teaching.

Jede Wissenschaft ist mit der Frage nach der Geltung ihrer Forschungsergebnisse konfrontiert und muss sich ihrer erkenntnistheoretischen Basis bewusst werden. Zur Ausgangsbasis einer allgemeinen Erkenntnislehre machte Carl Stumpf die Analyse der rationalen Strukturen, die sich schon in der sinnlichen Wahrnehmung nachweisen lassen. Deren detaillierte Ergründung war wichtigstes Ziel seiner weitverzweigten Forschung. Die Carl Stumpf Gesellschaft will diesen auch heute noch innovativen Forschungsansatz wieder beleben, um ihn für die modernen Geistes- und Naturwissenschaften nutzbar zu machen. Daraus ergibt sich die interdisziplinäre Ausrichtung der Schriftenreihe der Carl Stumpf Gesellschaft.

Beiträge zur Erforschung der antiken Moabitis (Ard El-Kerak)

Die Reihe Beiträge zur Erforschung der antiken Moabitis (Ard El-Kerak) bietet Erträge archäologischer Forschungen in Form von Oberflächen-Surveys, Ausgrabungen aus dem Gebiet Transjordaniens, das östlich des Toten Meeres gelegen ist, und weiterer vergleichender archäologischer Untersuchungen. Ein besonderer Schwerpunkt liegt dabei auf der Grabung in Khirbat al-Balu’, das am nördlichen Rand des zentral-moabitischen Plateaus liegt. Ein weiterer Fokus liegt auf den Tributär-Wadis, die sich vom nördlichen Plateaurand in das Wadi al-Mujeb ergießen. Da dieses Gebiet in der Vergangenheit kein großes Forschungsinteresse fand, versuchen diese Beiträge eine Lücke zu schließen.

Relaciones literarias en el ámbito Hispánico

Esta colección tiene por objetivo dar a conocer aportaciones novedosas en los ámbitos de la traducción y las relaciones interliterarias, tanto en lo que respecta a sus aspectos teóricos y metodológicos más generales como a sus plasmaciones en estudios concretos, tomando siempre como contexto de investigación el ámbito hispánico, en cualquier época histórica. Se pondrá el énfasis en las relaciones entre las literaturas ibéricas, las relaciones entre las literaturas americanas y las relaciones transatlánticas, además de la recepción de literatura extranjera en el contexto ibérico, intentando aglutinar un discurso crítico de carácter multidisciplinar que resulte una alternativa al hispanismo tradicional en su búsqueda de un marco auténticamente comparativo e intercultural. La colección acoge monografías, publicaciones colectivas, actas de congresos y adaptaciones de tesis doctorales en inglés, en castellano y otras lenguas peninsulares. The book series Estudios hispánicos en el contexto global. Hispanic Studies in the Global Context. Hispanistik im globalen Kontext offers an interdisciplinary approach to the Hispanistic world, combining Literary Studies, Media Studies, and Cultural Studies. The publications deal with the investigation and intercultural representation of contemporary culture and intellectual history by taking Iberian Studies, European Studies, Transatlantic and Global Studies into consideration. The major points of interest are the cultures of the Iberian Peninsula, their relation to each other, to Europe, to Latin America, and to cultural processes in a global context. We welcome monographs as well as multi-author volumes. Hispanic Studies in the Global Context is a peer-reviewed book series. La colección Estudios hispánicos en el contexto global. Hispanic Studies in the Global Context. Hispanistik im globalen Kontext propone un abordaje interdisciplinar al hispanismo, integrando los estudios literarios, de medios y culturales. Objeto de análisis serán las culturas hispánicas contemporáneas, su historia intelectual y las relaciones interculturales; se abarcarán por ello los estudios ibéricos, europeos, transatlánticos y globales. La colección concede especial atención a las culturas de la península ibérica, a sus relaciones mutuas, con Europa, Latinoamérica y procesos de alcance global. Se publicarán tanto monografías como volúmenes colectivos. Estudios hispánicos en el contexto global es una colección peer-reviewed. Die Reihe Estudios hispánicos en el contexto global. Hispanistik im globalen Kontext ist ein Publikationsforum für die interdisziplinäre literaturwissenschaftliche, medienwissenschaftliche und kulturwissenschaftliche Beschäftigung mit der hispanischen Welt. Die Publikationen widmen sich der Erforschung und interkulturellen Vermittlung der Gegenwartskultur sowie der Intellektuellen Geschichte unter Einbeziehung der Iberischen Studien, der Europäischen Studien, der transatlantischen und der globalen Studien. Der Schwerpunkt liegt auf den Kulturen der iberischen Halbinsel, ihren Beziehungen untereinander, zu Europa, Lateinamerika und zu globalen kulturellen Prozessen.
