  • English Corpus Linguistics

English Corpus Linguistics comprises studies that use a corpus-based methodology for the linguistic analysis of English-language real-world texts. The corpus methodology permits both synchronic and diachronic research. The outcomes may be primary linguistics research, or studies utilising concordancing tools to advance lexicographic, morphological or syntactic analyses. The series additionally supports academic study of the corpus methodology and the implementation of corpora in language teaching.

  • Austrian Studies in English

    ISSN: 1810-4517

Founded in 1895 under the title Wiener Beiträge zur englischen Philologie and continued as Austrian Studies in English from 1995 onwards, this is one of the oldest academic series world-wide. For more than a century it has offered a platform for the publication of outstanding monographs and article collections on the languages, literatures and cultures of the anglophone world to researchers with an affiliation with Austria. We invite excellent and innovative studies on these topics to be sent to one of the editors. All manuscripts are submitted to a two-stage peer-review process to maintain the high quality of the series. *** NEW FORMAT! *** In addition to the long-standing tradition of publishing monographs and conference volumes, Austrian Studies in English now offers a new fast-track Prompts format for publication. It is an innovative format, for studies that are intermediate in length between a conventional monograph and a typical journal article (between 25,000 and 50,000 words). Its focus is thus on the succinct, yet in-depth and state-of-the-art treatment of a narrowly delimited topic. This slimmer format will allow for speedier production (while keeping the quality control and peer-review process rigorously in place), which makes this fast-track procedure particularly advantageous for topical issues in a fast-changing world. The new format is thus ideal for timely topics, which tackle current issues and under-researched areas, with particular focus on the exploration of contemporary questions and interdisciplinary research. Editors: Sabine Coelsch-Foisner (Salzburg), Gunther Kaltenböck (Graz), Gabriella Mazzon (Innsbruck) Advisory Editorial Board: Allan James (Klagenfurt), Mario Klarer (Innsbruck), Holger Klein (Salzburg), Ewald Mengel (Wien), Nikolaus Ritt (Wien), Monika Seidl (Wien), Barbara Seidlhofer (Wien), Wilfried Wieden (Salzburg), Werner Wolf (Graz)

  • MUSE: Munich Studies in English

    Münchener Schriften zur Englischen Philologie

    ISSN: 2364-088X

Combining traditional strengths with an openness to innovation, this series offers monographs and essay collections ranging from studies in historical linguistics to analyses of Early Modern literature and beyond, as well as scholarly editions of medieval English and relevant Latin texts. Reflecting LMU Munich's strong track record in sound philological research, it is also open to literary and cultural studies – and to submissions from outside Munich. Its languages are English and German. The series was formerly known as Münchener Universitätsschriften.
