Régionalisme & Fédéralisme / Regionalism & Federalism

The contemporary nation-state is undergoing a series of transformations which question its traditional role as a container of social, political and economic systems. New spaces are emerging with the rise of regional production systems, movements for territorial autonomy and the rediscovery of old and the invention of new identities. States have responded by restructuring their systems of territorial government, often setting up an intermediate or regional level. There is no single model, but a range, from administrative deconcentration to federalization. Some states have regionalized in a uniform manner, while others have adopted asymmetrical solutions. In many cases, regions have gone beyond the nation-state, seeking to become actors in broader continental and transnational systems. The series covers the gamut of issues involved in this territorial restructuring, including the rise of regional production systems, political regionalism, questions of identity, and constitutional change. It will include the emergence of new systems of territorial regulation and collective action within civil society as well as the state. There is no a priori definition of what constitutes a region, since these span a range of spatial scales, from metropolitan regions to large federated states, and from administrative units to cultural regions and stateless nations. Disciplines covered include history, sociology, social and political geography, political science and law. Interdisciplinary approaches are particularly welcome. In addition to empirical and comparative studies, books focus on the theory of regionalism and federalism, including normative questions about democracy and accountability in complex systems of government. L’État-nation contemporain a subi une série de transformations qui remettent en cause son rôle traditionnel de cadre pour les systèmes sociaux, politiques et économiques. Des nouveaux espaces ont émergé avec la mise en place de systèmes de production régionaux, le développement des mouvements pour l’autonomie territoriale et la redécouverte des anciennes identités aussi bien que l’invention de nouvelles. Les États ont répondu à ces mutations par la restructuration de leurs systèmes de gouvernement territoriaux, le plus souvent par l’instauration d’un niveau intermédiaire ou régional. Il n’y a pas de modèle unique mais bien une gamme allant de la décentralisation administrative à la fédéralisation. Certains États se sont régionalisés de manière uniforme, tandis que d’autres ont adopté des solutions asymétriques. Dans plusieurs cas, les régions ont dépassé le cadre des États-nations, cherchant à devenir des acteurs au sein des systèmes continentaux et transnationaux. La collection s’intéresse à toute étude concernant cette restructuration territoriale, incluant le développement des systèmes de production régionaux, le régionalisme politique, les questions d’identité et les changements constitutionnels. Elle prend également en compte l’émergence de nouveaux systèmes de régulation territoriale et l’action collective au niveau de la société civile aussi bien que de l’État. Il n’y a pas de définition a priori de ce qui constitue une région, celle-ci pouvant embrasser un éventail de niveaux territoriaux, des régions métropolitaines aux grands États fédérés et des unités administratives aux régions culturelles et aux nations-sans-État. La collection comprend des études dans des disciplines variées telles que l’histoire, la sociologie, la géographie sociale et politique, la science politique et le droit. Les approches interdisciplinaires sont particulièrement bienvenues. Enfin, parallèlement aux études empiriques et comparatives, certains ouvrages s’intéressent à la théorie du régionalisme et du fédéralisme, incluant des questions normatives sur la démocratie et la responsabilité dans les systèmes complexes de gouvernement. The aim of this series is to study diversity by privileging an interdisciplinary approach, through political, legal, cultural and social frameworks. The proposed method of inquiry will be to appeal, at once, to the fields of political philosophy, law, political science, history and sociology. In a period characterized by the increasing diversity of contemporary societies, the authors published in this series will explore avenues for the accommodation and management of pluralism and identity. Such studies will not be limited to assessments of federal states, but will include states that are on the path to federalization as well as non-federal states. Serious efforts will be undertaken to enrich our comprehension of so-called ‘nations without states’, most notably Catalonia, Scotland, Flanders and Quebec. A point of emphasis will also be placed on extracting lessons from experiences with civil law relative to those cases marked by the common law tradition. Monist and competing models will be compared in order to assess the relative capacity of each model to provide responses to the question of political instability, while pursuing the quest for justice in minority societies. The series also addresses the place of cities in the management of diversity, as well as the question of migration more generally and the issue of communities characterized by overlapping and hybrid identities. A profound sensitivity to historical narratives is also expected to enrich the proposed scientific approach. Finally, the works published in this series will reveal a common aspiration to advance social and political debates without privileging any particular school of thought. Cette collection cherche à étudier la diversité sous les angles politique, juridique, culturel et social en privilégiant le prisme de l’interdisciplinarité. La démarche scientifique proposée fait appel à la fois à la philosophie politique, au droit, à la science politique, à l’histoire, de même qu’à la sociologie. Au moment où les sociétés sont de plus en plus traversées par la diversité, les auteurs publiés dans cette collection exploreront des avenues en vue de gérer le pluralisme communautaire et identitaire. Sont mis à l’étude tout aussi bien les pays fédéraux et les pays en voie de fédéralisation que les pays non fédéraux. Des efforts importants seront consentis afin d’enrichir notre compréhension des nations dites «　sans État　» – pensons à la Catalogne, à l’Écosse, à la Flandre, au Pays basque et au Québec. Une volonté affirmée de mettre en parallèle les enseignements tirés des expériences civilistes et de celles propres au droit coutumier sera au rendez-vous. Les modèles monistes et concurrents seront mis dos à dos afin de saisir la capacité propre à chacun de fournir des réponses à l’instabilité politique tout en poursuivant la quête de justice pour les sociétés minoritaires. La place des métropoles au chapitre de la gestion de la diversité retiendra notre attention de même que les questions de migration des populations et du métissage communautaire. Une sensibilité à la trame historique viendra enrichir la démarche scientifique proposée. MIMOS – Schweizer Jahrbuch Darstellende Künste

The MIMOS series addresses professionals in the field of the performing arts and an interested general public. The richly illustrated volumes contain contributions from specialists and artists in German, French, Italian and English. Since 2021, the Swiss Performing Arts Yearbook MIMOS documented the work of the respective winners of the Swiss Grand Award for the Performing Arts / Hans Reinhart Ring. This award, the highest in Switzerland, honours outstanding artists in the field of performing arts. The award is provided by the Swiss Federal Office of Culture (FOC) in cooperation with the Swiss Association for Theatre Studies (SATS). Laureates may be individuals or institution from dance, theatre, cabaret, performance, contemporary circus, puppet theatre or street art. Until 2020, the series was called MIMOS – Swiss Theatre Yearbook. From 2011 to 2013, each MIMOS edition was dedicated to the artist who the SATS awarded with the Hans Reinhart Ring. From 2014 to 2020, the main focus of the MIMOS Theatre Yearbook was placed on the winner of the Swiss Grand Award for Theatre / Hans Reinhart Ring, awarded by the FOC in cooperation with the SATS. In 2017, a special MIMOS edition was published to mark the triple anniversary: 90 years of the SATS, 60 years of the Hans Reinhart Ring and 25 years of the Institute of Theatre Studies at the University of Bern. Réalisés par des expertes et artistes du domaine des arts de la scène et richement illustrés, les volumes de la collection MIMOS s’adressent autant aux professionnelles, qu’à un public plus large. Les contributions sont rédigées en allemand, français, italien ainsi qu’en anglais. Depuis 2021, chaque ouvrage de l’Annuaire suisse des arts de la scène MIMOS est consacré au parcours artistique de la personnalité honorée par l’Office fédéral de la culture (OFC), en coopération avec la Société suisse du théâtre (SST), du Grand Prix suisse des arts de la scène / Anneau Hans Reinhart. Il s’agit de la plus haute distinction suisse décernée une fois par an à une ou un artiste ou institution issues de la danse, du théâtre, du cabaret, de la performance, du cirque contemporain, du théâtre de marionnettes ou des arts de la rue. Entre 2011 et 2013, sous le nom de MIMOS – Annuaire suisse du théâtre, les ouvrages de la collection étaient entièrement consacrés à la lauréate ou au lauréat de l’Anneau Hans Reinhart, attribué par la SST. Après, entre 2014 et 2020, la SST s’est penchée dans le cadre de sa collection MIMOS sur la trajectoire de l’artiste que l’OFC et la SST ont honoré par le Grand Prix suisse de théâtre / Anneau Hans Reinhart. En outre, en 2017 est paru un numéro spécial de MIMOS pour fêter un triple anniversaire　: les 90 ans de la Société suisse du théâtre SST, les 60 ans de l’Anneau Hans Reinhart et les 25 ans de l’Institut d’études théâtrales de l’Université de Berne. Die Buchreihe MIMOS richtet sich an Fachleute aus dem Bereich der darstellenden Künste wie auch an ein interessiertes Publikum. Die reich bebilderten Bände enthalten Beiträge von Spezialist:innen und Künstler:innen in deutscher, französischer, italienischer und englischer Sprache. Seit 2021 dokumentiert das Schweizer Jahrbuch Darstellende Künste MIMOS das Wirken der Trägerin bzw. des Trägers des Schweizer Grand Prix Darstellende Künste / Hans-Reinhart-Rings. Mit dieser höchsten Auszeichnung im Bereich der darstellenden Künste ehrt das Bundesamt für Kultur (BAK) in Kooperation mit der Schweizerischen Gesellschaft für Theaterkultur (SGTK) jedes Jahr eine herausragende Persönlichkeit oder Institution aus Tanz, Theater, Kleinkunst, Performance, zeitgenössischer Zirkus, Figurentheater oder Strassenkunst. Bis 2020 hiess die Reihe MIMOS – Schweizer Theater-Jahrbuch. Von 2011 bis 2013 waren die einzelnen Bände den Künstler:innen gewidmet, die von der SGTK mit dem Hans-Reinhart-Ring ausgezeichnet wurden. Von 2014 bis 2020 würdigte das MIMOS-Theaterjahrbuch die Gewinnerin bzw. den Gewinner des vom BAK gemeinsam mit der SGTK verliehenen Schweizer Grand Prix Theater / Hans-Reinhart-Rings. Im Jahr 2017 erschien ausserdem ein Sonderband von MIMOS zum dreifachen Jubiläum: 90 Jahre SGTK, 60 Jahre Hans-Reinhart-Ring und 25 Jahre Institut für Theaterwissenschaft der Universität Bern. .

Champs Didactiques Plurilingues : données pour des politiques stratégiques

The Book Serie «Champs didactiques plurilingues» aims to promote practice and research about foreign language teaching and learning from a triple bond between subjects, objects and contexts, each with their individual and interacting dynamics. This involves the disciplinary fields involved in the production of practical and theoretical ideas, and of the concrete, educational and professional contexts of teaching and learning , together with school and university language policies which influence the learning of a particular language, the choice of languages and their status.
