This series publishes monographs and edited collections on the history, present condition and possible future role of organised labour around the world. Multidisciplinary in approach, geographically and chronologically diverse, this series is dedicated to the study of trade unionism and the undeniably significant role it has played in modern society. Topics include the historical development of organised labour in a variety of national and regional settings; the political, economic and legal contexts in which trade unionism functions; trade union internationalism past and present; comparative and cross-border studies; trade unions’ role in promoting economic equality and social justice; and trade union revitalisation and future prospects. The aims of the series are to promote an appreciation of the diversity of trade union experience worldwide and to provide an international forum for lively debate on all aspects of the subject.

Bible in the Christian Orthodox Tradition

This series aims at exploring and evaluating the various aspects of biblical traditions as studied, understood, taught, and lived in the Christian communities that spoke and wrote – and some continue speaking and writing – in the Aramaic, Arabic, Armenian, Coptic, Georgian, Romanian, Syriac, and other languages of the Orthodox family of churches. A particular focus of this series is the incorporation of the various methodologies and hermeneutics used for centuries in these Christian communities, into the contemporary critical approaches, in order to shed light on understanding the message of the Bible. Each monograph in the series will engage in critical examination of issues raised by contemporary biblical research. Scholars in the fields of biblical text, manuscripts, canon, hermeneutics, theology, lectionary, Apocrypha and Pseudepigrapha will have an enormous opportunity to share their academic findings with a worldwide audience. Manuscripts and dissertations, incorporating a variety of approaches and methodologies to studying the Bible in the Eastern and Oriental Orthodox traditions – including, but not limited to, theological, historiographic, philological and literary – are welcome. Catholic Thought from Lublin

"Catholic Thought from Lublin is a monograph series devoted to Lublin philosophy and its applications. Books in the series represent the major voices in this school and address a broad range of philosophical subjects. Essentially, Lublin philosophy is the latest systematic presentation and interpretation of Thomistic thought. It was introduced in Poland after World War II. Lublinism, or Polish Existential Thomism, embodies a new and revolutionary ideal in the history of Catholic philosophical and theological teaching under the aegis of John Paul II. Lublinism represents a genuine quest into the classical philosophy of Aristotle and Aquinas based on both an objective rigorous study of reality understood as being in concreto and a subjective pursuit in evaluating human existence (in its internal experience) as personal being. In its “catholicity,” the Polish version of Thomistic thought from Lublin is an intricately nuanced melding of the best insight of contemporary existentialism, chiefly from Marcel and Heidegger; of methodology drawn from Scheler and Ingarden; and of realist metaphysics from Aquinas, together with some of the methodological results of the Lwow/Warsaw school of logic. International Bonhoeffer Interpretations

This series on the theology of Dietrich Bonhoeffer (1906-1945) seeks to offer what its title promises by presenting interpretations of his thought from international perspectives. The term interpretation is meant to indicate both careful analysis of Bonhoeffer’'s texts and the creative exploration of his theological ideas in order to gauge their relevance for contemporary issues of interpretation, religion, politics, and culture. The editors hope that this series will promote greater awareness of Bonhoeffer’'s international significance and facilitate research from a variety of cultural and disciplinary perspectives. The series IBI will include the conference proceedings of the annual International Bonhoeffer Colloquia (IBC) which are organized by the editors of the series. These colloquia concentrate on different aspects of Bonhoeffer’'s theology and try to coordinate the international network of Bonhoeffer projects. Their focus is the exchange and cooperation among younger research fellows dealing with the theology of Dietrich Bonhoeffer. The new series will also include monographs and essay collections which reflect on the new perspectives Bonhoeffer’'s theology opens up for current challenges experienced by an increasingly international global community.

Early Christianity in the Context of Antiquity

The series ECCA (Early Christianity in the Context of Antiquity) seeks to publish monographs and edited volumes that take as their theme early Christianity and its connections with the religion(s) and culture(s) of antiquity and late antiquity. Special attention is given to the interactions between religion and culture, as well as to the influences that diverse religions and cults had on one another. Works published in ECCA extend chronologically from the second century B.C.E. to the fifth century C.E. and geographically across the expanse of the Roman empire and its immediate neighbors. Prior to publication, the quality of the work published in this series is reviewed by the editors of the series and by members of the academic advisory board. Proposals are welcome for mongraphs or edited volumes. International Relations in Asia, Africa and the Americas: Politics, Economy, Society – Transdisciplinary Perspectives publishes high quality studies of contemporary non-European problems, connected with politics, economics, social issues, cultural studies, as well as broadly understood international relations. Both theoretically driven and empirical research based publications are welcomed. Monographs and essay collections on the Asia-Pacific, African and American issues are invited, focusing especially on newest developments in those regions. Publications proposals are reviewed by series editors and after initial acceptance blind review procedure is initiated. Based on the results of this blind review process, given titles are published. Dans cette collection sont présentés, traduits et commentés des textes anciens sur des thèmes centraux de la théologie, des doctrines, de la culture, de la spiritualité du christianisme des premiers siècles. Les extraits sont tirés principalement d’œuvres rédigées en grec ou en latin. L’édition en est donnée dans la langue originale et elle est accompagnée d’une traduction en langue moderne. Les œuvres retenues appartiennent aux cinq premiers siècles, mais certains sujets peuvent imposer le choix de textes plus tardifs. In Traditio Christina werden frühe Texte zu zentralen Themen der Geschichte des antiken Christentums, der Kultur und Theologie präsentiert, übersetzt und kommentiert. Der Grossteil der Exzerpte stammt aus griechischen und lateinischen Quellen. Die Editionen sind zweisprachig und enthalten die Originalversion sowie deren Übersetzung ins Französische oder Deutsche. Berücksichtigt werden Werke aus den ersten fünf Jahrhunderten, wobei gewisse Themen auch Texte späteren Datums erfordern können.
