Cette collection recueille des études de littérature française orientées vers le domaine de la comparaison, englobant en même temps le genre populaire et la littérature écrite par des femmes. La richesse de la littérature française mise face à face avec les littératures hispaniques et les tendances populaires de l’époque contemporaine ainsi que l’écriture des femmes auteures offre un large et intéressant éventail de possibilités qui permet d’approfondir dans les aspects les plus représentatifs de la littérature francophone contemporaine. La collection accueille monographies, ouvrages collectifs, actes de colloque et thèses de doctorat en castillan, français et catalan.

Relaciones literarias en el ámbito Hispánico

Esta colección tiene por objetivo dar a conocer aportaciones novedosas en los ámbitos de la traducción y las relaciones interliterarias, tanto en lo que respecta a sus aspectos teóricos y metodológicos más generales como a sus plasmaciones en estudios concretos, tomando siempre como contexto de investigación el ámbito hispánico, en cualquier época histórica. Se pondrá el énfasis en las relaciones entre las literaturas ibéricas, las relaciones entre las literaturas americanas y las relaciones transatlánticas, además de la recepción de literatura extranjera en el contexto ibérico, intentando aglutinar un discurso crítico de carácter multidisciplinar que resulte una alternativa al hispanismo tradicional en su búsqueda de un marco auténticamente comparativo e intercultural. La colección acoge monografías, publicaciones colectivas, actas de congresos y adaptaciones de tesis doctorales en inglés, en castellano y otras lenguas peninsulares. Para presentar sus propuestas pueden dirigirse al director de la colección. Modern Poetry

The Modern Poetry series brings together scholarly work on modern and contemporary poetry. As well as examining the sometimes neglected art of recent poetry, this series also sets modern poetry in the context of poetic history and in the context of other literary and artistic disciplines. Poetry has traditionally been considered the highest of the arts, but in our own time the scholarly tendency to treat literature as discourse or document sometimes threatens to obscure its specific vitalities. The Modern Poetry series aims to provide a platform for the full range of scholarly work on modern poetry, including work with an intercultural or interdisciplinary methodology. We invite submissions on all aspects of modern and contemporary poetry in English, and will also consider work on poetry in other language traditions. The series is non-dogmatic in its approach, and includes both mainstream and marginal topics. We are especially interested in work which brings new intellectual impetus to recognised areas (such as feminist poetry and linguistically innovative poetry) and also in work that makes a stimulating case for areas which are neglected.

Die Reihe Wiener Moderne veröffentlicht Monographien und Sammelbände zu Themen der Österreichischen Geschichte. Sie verknüpft die Betrachtung von sozialen Prozessen, Institutionen und historischem Wandel mit gesellschaftstheoretischen Überlegungen. Obwohl im Schwerpunkt historisch ausgerichtet, stellt sie konzeptionell Bezüge zu Philosophie und Politikwissenschaft her. Besonderes Augenmerk richtet die Reihe auf Bildungsinstitutionen und ihre Arbeit in historischer Perspektive.

Modern French Identities

This series aims to publish monographs, editions or collections of papers based on recent research into modern French literature. It welcomes contributions from academics, researchers and writers worldwide and in British and Irish universities in particular. Modern French Identities focuses on the French and Francophone writing of the twentieth and twenty-first centuries, whose formal experiments and revisions of genre have combined to create an entirely new set of literary forms, from the thematic autobiographies of Michel Leiris and Bernard Noël to the magic realism of French Caribbean writers. The idea that identities are constructed rather than found, and that the self is an area to explore rather than a given pretext, runs through much of modern French literature, from Proust, Gide, Apollinaire and Césaire to Barthes, Duras, Kristeva, Glissant, Germain and Roubaud. This series explores the turmoil in ideas and values expressed in the works of theorists like Lacan, Irigaray, Foucault, Fanon, Deleuze and Bourdieu and traces the impact of current theoretical approaches – such as gender and sexuality studies, de/coloniality, intersectionality, and ecocriticism – on the literary and cultural interpretation of the self. The series publishes studies of individual authors and artists, comparative studies, and interdisciplinary projects and welcomes research on autobiography, cinema, fiction, poetry and performance art and/or the intersections between them. Die Reihe Moderne und Gegenwart präsentiert germanistische Monographien und Sammelbände zur Literatur aus dem Zeitraum vom mittleren 19. Jahrhundert bis in die unmittelbare Gegenwart hinein. In theoretischer und methodischer Hinsicht sind die Studien der Reihe vielfältigen Ansätzen verpflichtet. Schwerpunkte bilden komparatistische, kulturwissenschaftliche und wissensgeschichtliche Perspektiven auf Literatur. Die Bände 1 – 19 sind unter dem Titel Kölner Studien zur Literaturwissenschaft erschienen.

Die Reihe Moderne – Kulturen – Relationen befasst sich im Fachbereich Theologie mit der Sozialwissenschaft christlicher Prägung. Die Monographien und Sammelbände der Reihe beschäftigen sich mit theoretischen Reflexionen und Praxisanwendungen einer Sozialethik und Ethik als Verantwortung in der Moderne. The scholarly series Studies in Early Modern European Culture aims at publishing scholarly works in the areas of Venetian studies, early modern and modern history, and cultural studies. The publications in the series originate from research work conducted at the CIES (Center for Italian and European Studies), the Boston University research centre located in Padova, Italy. The series includes monographs in English and Italian which reflect the interdisciplinary activities of the CIES. In exceptional cases, the series will accept also works produced by scholars not working at, or affiliated with, CIES. Studies in Modern Poetry

This series brings together book-length works on particular modern poets and twentieth-century movements as well as comparative and theoretical studies. Works in the series seek to explore the contributions of twentieth-century poets beyond the well-known major figures of Modernism such as Ezra Pound and T. S. Eliot, in the belief that modern poetry is characterized by its variety, richness and scope. The series focuses on books which compare poetic projects from different national and linguistic traditions or explore the interconnections between poetic expression and the other arts. Authors whose critical approaches utilize contemporary literary theory and/or multicultural perspectives are especially encouraged to consider this series. Languages of the poetry studied include, but are not limited to, English, French, German, Italian and Spanish, though the texts should be written in English and addressed to readers beyond strictly national or disciplinary boundaries.
