Die Schriftenreihe der August-Maria-Berges Stiftung für Arbitrales Recht steht seit 1997 für solche Publikationen offen, die nachweislich einen wichtigen Beitrag oder eine wesentliche Weiterbildung auf dem Gebiet der Schiedsgerichtsbarkeit erwarten lassen. Bei den meisten der bislang erschienenen Bände handelt es sich um herausragende Dissertationen zu ganz unterschiedlichen schiedsrechtlichen Themenkreisen, aber es befinden sich auch ein Lehrbuch, ein Tagungsband sowie eine Sammlung von schiedsrechtlichen Veröffentlichungen des Stiftungsgründers darunter. Asian American Studies

The Asian American Studies series will continue to contribute to an understanding of the long neglected history, rich cultural heritage, and present position of Asian Americans in society. The series encompasses studies on all aspects of the Asian American experience, and we are committed to expanding the traditions of knowledge within the field to address vast Asian American epistemologies, communities, activities, and practices. We are looking for work which explores various facets of a transnational perspective including for example: diaspora, displacement and migratory identities, cultural hybridity, transculturation, comparative race studies, contemporary community issues, immigration politics, nationalisms, and representation. While seeking the highest standards of scholarship, the Asian American Studies series is thus a broad forum for research on diverse and complex Asian American issues. The Asian American Studies series is committed to interdisciplinary and cross cultural scholarship. The series scope is primarily in the Humanities and Social Sciences. For example, topics in history, literature, culture, philosophy, religion, visual arts, performing arts, sociology, language & linguistics, gender studies, global studies, ethnic studies, etc. would be suitable. The series welcomes both individually authored and collaboratively authored books and monographs as well as edited collections of essays. The series will publish manuscripts primarily in English (although secondary references in other languages are certainly acceptable). The Postcolonial Studies series explores the enormous variety and richness in postcolonial culture and transnational literatures. The series aims to publish work which explores various facets of the legacy of colonialism including: imperialism, nationalism, representation and resistance, neocolonialism, diaspora, displacement and migratory identities, cultural hybridity, transculturation, exile, and geographical and metaphorical borderlands. This series does not define its attentions to any single place, region, or disciplinary approach, and we are interested in books informed by a variety of theoretical perspectives. While seeking the highest standards of scholarship, the Postcolonial Studies series is thus a broad forum for the interrogation of textual, cultural and political postcolonialisms. Medical Humanities: Criticism and Creativity

This series showcases innovative research, creativity and pedagogy in the interdisciplinary field of medical humanities. Books in the series explore the complexities of human bodies, minds, illness and wellbeing through analytical frameworks derived from humanistic disciplines and clinical practice. The series publishes a range of materials, including monographs and edited collections on scholarly approaches to medical issues in culture; creative works (accompanied by analytical and educational materials) that engage with medical humanities themes; and critical, engaged or radical pedagogies on focused topics for learners in the medical and health humanities.　 Medical Humanities: Criticism and Creativity is intended to provide an informative exchange across disciplines, encouraging theoretical and personal reflections on the condition of the human mind/body and contributing to debates on health-related issues from a broad range of perspectives. Romantic Studies

This series is mainly focused on English literature produced in Britain and Europe between the 1750s and the 1830s. It aims to explore the key concepts regarding Romantic texts and aesthetics, such as the relationship between the writer and the natural world; context and history; sensibility and the sublime; gender roles; language and the power of the imagination; studies of genre; slavery and abolition; migration literature, consumer literature; social transformation; critical reception; and transnational relations. The series welcomes studies on major as well as less well-known authors and literary genres, and on historical and cultural contexts of the period. Within this framework, volumes included in this series will not only expand the canon beyond traditional authors and genres, but also provide opportunities for exploring texts and contexts from new perspectives, including those of gender, cultural and translation studies. The series includes monographs, collection of essays, conference proceedings, critical editions and translations, and aims to address an international community. Book proposals for the series are welcome. Those interested in contributing to the series should send a detailed project outline either to the series editors or to the publisher. ALPH: Arbeiten zur Literarischen Phantastik / ALPH: Approaches to Literary Phantasy

This series has been terminated after vol. 9. ALPH: in Coleridge’s poem Kubla Khan, this is a subterranean river based on the Greek Alphaios, which connects different worlds and thus creates new spaces in secret and surprising ways. The title Alph thus stands for works of fantastic literature/phantasy to which this series devotes new and exciting studies, from all ranges of anglophone writing, but also from other languages. Interdisciplinary and comparative studies are particularly welcome. Band 9 schließt diese Reihe ab. ALPH: In Coleridges Gedicht Kubla Khan ist dies ein unterirdischer Fluss, dem griechischen Alphaios entlehnt, der verschiedene Welten verbindet und dabei auf phantastische Weise neue Räume aufdeckt. Darum geht es in den Büchern dieser Reihe, in der neue Studien zur phantastischen Literatur erscheinen, insbesondere, aber nicht nur, der englischsprachigen Welt. Interdisziplinäre und komparatistische Arbeiten sind besonders willkommen.

The series Linguistica Philologica aims to foster dialogue across boundaries among the different fields and paradigms of linguistics in a broad philological and historical context. The edited volumes, monographs, and congress proceedings cover the linguistics of the entire spectrum of languages, focusing on describing and explaining languages as systems, the oral and written use of language, and language variation, its precipitating factors and outcomes. The double-blind peer-reviewed volumes are published in English, French, Spanish, German, and Russian. Die Publikationsreihe Linguistica Philologica will den Dialog über die Grenzen der unterschiedlichen Bereiche und Paradigmen der Sprachwissenschaft hinweg in einem breiten philologischen und historischen Kontext fördern. Die Sammelbände, Monographien und Kongressdokumentationen beziehen sich auf das gesamte Spektrum der linguistischen Philologien, mit Fokus auf die Beschreibung und Erklärung von sprachlichen Systemen, den mündlichen und schriftlichen Gebrauch der Sprachen sowie die sprachliche Variation, deren auslösende Faktoren und Ergebnisse. Gender and the History of Institutions

The aim of this book series is to examine the history of institutions around the world through the lens of gender. Of interest are institutions established with the specific purpose of regulating gender and sexuality (e.g. the Magdalen asylums, Magdalen hospitals, penitentiaries, refuges, mother and baby institutions) as well as those with more general purposes where gender has had an important role in their operation and function (e.g. prisons, workhouses, lunatic asylums), including both religious and private organisations. The series supports the increasing interest in these institutions internationally, both in academia and in the treatment of ‘historical’ abuse. The series highlights the range of archives that can be considered in examining this history, not only in English-speaking countries but also in countries where the institutions described above have existed and determined the lives of many people. It will also broaden the conversation by widening the scope of institutions being considered. The series has as its main objective expanding the discussion of gender in reference to these lesser known institutions. At the same time, its purpose is to provide academia with a forum for discussion and a critical approach to the concepts of gender and institutions that attract both researchers and the general public. All projects undergo rigorous peer review before acceptance for publication.

"inklings - Jahrbuch für Literatur" bildet ein Forum für wissenschaftliche Aufsätze zur fantastischen Literatur von den Anfängen bis zur Gegenwart, insbesondere aber zu den Autoren des Oxforder Inklings-Kreises (J.R.R. Tolkien, C.S. Lewis u.a.) und deren Anregern. Die Beiträge sind nicht auf literaturwissenschaftliche Themen beschränkt, sondern beleuchten auch philosophische, theologische, kunst- und musikgeschichtliche, medienkundliche, soziologische und pädagogische Aspekte. Zwei Drittel der Aufsätze dokumentieren die Beiträge zu den Symposien der Inklings-Gesellschaft. Band 39 schließt dieses Jahrbuch ab.

This series focuses on linguistic negotiations of belonging, covering processes of identity construction and group formation (groupness) in social, spatial and temporal terms. At the interface between linguistic, sociological, ethnographic and cultural sciences research, it seeks to depict different communities in their cultural and language practices, which can be implicit in routines of everyday encounters or subject to negotiations and adjustment. Bi- and plurilingual – as well as migratory contexts – are particularly suitable for inquiries regarding belonging. It is often an overt subject of debate within these communities, as the outcome determines the in- or exclusion of members. This series therefore offers a vital and transdisciplinary contribution to recent discussions on belonging. Book proposals are welcome and may be submitted to the editors. All publications will be peer reviewed. Die Reihe thematisiert sprachliche Aushandlungen von Zugehörigkeit in Interaktionen und Prozesse von Identitätskonstruktionen sowie soziale, räumliche und zeitliche Aspekte von Gruppenbildung. An der Schnittstelle zwischen linguistischer, soziologischer, ethnographischer und kulturwissenschaftlicher Forschung werden kulturelle Praktiken und Sprachgebrauch von Gemeinschaften vergleichend dargestellt. Sie zeichnen sich durch alltägliche (Sprach-)Routinen aus oder stehen zur Disposition und werden neu verhandelt. Insbesondere in Migrationskontexten sowie in bi- und plurilingualen Gemeinschaften sind Zugehörigkeitsaushandlungen Teil ein- oder ausgrenzender Prozesse. Die Reihe hat zum Ziel, eine transdisziplinäre Perspektive in die aktuelle Zugehörigkeitsforschung einzubringen. Die Auswahl beinhaltet ein Peer-review-Verfahren. Manuskriptvorschläge an die Herausgeberinnen sind willkommen.

"Die Publikationsreihe Potsdamer Linguistische Untersuchungen bietet ein Forum für die Bereiche der Linguistik, Germanistik, Anglistik, Romanistik, Slavistik und Baltistik sowie der Balkanistik. Die Monographien, Tagungs- und Sammelbände der Reihe widmen sich dabei dem gesamten linguistischen Spektrum, mit Schwerpunkten auf Syntax, Semantik, Pragmatik und Sprachphilosophie. Die Bände erscheinen in deutscher und englischer Sprache. Die Qualität der in dieser Reihe erscheinenden Arbeiten wird vor der Publikation durch einen externen, von der Herausgeberschaft benannten Gutachter im Double Blind Verfahren geprüft.
