Restoration Drama

This series attempts to illustrate the richness and diversity of Restoration drama, a thriving theatrical production which has been long overshadowed by the brilliance of the Age of Shakespeare. The aim of the collection is to bring to light dramatic texts that have not attracted much critical attention but display the most popular generic formulas of the time and introduce a wide array of suggestive topics. The series consists of modern spelling, fully annotated editions, complete with textual commentary, glosses, as well as historical, cultural and literary references. Each of the volumes includes a critical introduction which places the text in context, discussing aspects such as authorship, the play’s response to the historical circumstances of the time, its use of theatrical conventions and stage history.

Studies in Theoretical and Applied Ethics

This series invites book manuscripts and proposals in English on either theoretical or applied ethics. Books submitted on traditional moral philosophers or on one or more ethical problems from a philosophical perspective are welcome. Preference will be given to works which deal with perennial philosophical issues in ethics in an original, clear and scholarly manner rather than to manuscripts which have historical significance alone. Books which approach applied ethics from a philosophical perspective, especially those in the areas of business ethics and globalization and ethics, are also welcome. This series is designed to encourage philosophers to explore new directions of research in philosophy. The underlying premise of the series is that contemporary philosophical research is impeded by an understanding of the intellectual division of labor according to which philosophy is conceived of as separate from the natural and social sciences, the arts and humanistic disciplines. Science is impoverished by the neglect of immediate attention to the metaphysical and moral questions posed by scientific developments. The arts and humanistic disciplines are also impoverished by a lack of sufficient attention to the philosophical implication of innovation in each of these areas. Philosophy for its part is in danger of grinding away on outdated problems posed by the scientific and artistic developments of past centuries. The usual remedy for this situation, inter-disciplinary work, typically falls far short of the needed re-integration of philosophy, the sciences, the arts and humanistic disciplines. The pressing problems of contemporary civilization, particularly the problems that concern the relationship between science, technology and ethical and political values, we believe, can only be adequately explored by a re-integration of philosophy with other fields. This series seeks to call attention to itself by meeting high standards of scholarship and producing work of unquestionable merit. Works in this series should contribute to the re-integration of philosophy with the natural and social sciences, technology, the arts or humanities by challenging philosophical preconceptions that block the re-integration of philosophy with other disciplines. Psychoanalyse im Dialog

Die Psychoanalyse entstand im Spannungsfeld zwischen verschiedenen wissenschaftlichen Bereichen, namentlich Psychologie, Pädagogik, Philologie und Philosophie auf der einen, Medizin und Biologie auf der anderen Seite. Heute ist Psychoanalyse ein vielgestaltiges Praxisfeld und ein verzweigtes Forschungsgebiet über das grosse Gebiet der Psychotherapieforschung hinaus. Gesprächs- und Kulturanalyse, Neurowissenschaft und evolutionäre Psychologie, Bildungswissenschaften und Evolution der Moral, Textanalyse und Interpretation, Erzähl- und Religionsforschung gehören zum Interessenspektrum und verlangen häufig Expertise, die im Dialog mit den Nachbarwissenschaften entsteht. Umgekehrt profitieren Psychologie, Philosophie, Kultur- und Literaturwissenschaft, Theologie, Medizin und Medienforschung von psychoanalytischen Konzepten, Modellen und Befunden aus den Werkstätten psychoanalytischer Forschung. Die Psychoanalyse bietet eine Fülle differenzierter Beobachtungen und theoretischer Konzepte, die für andere Disziplinen anregend und weiterführend sind. Psychoanalyse im Dialog bedeutet aber auch Psychoanalyse im kontroversen Dialog - ein Dialog zwischen den verschiedenen Fachwissenschaften, die voneinander unterschiedene Erkenntnisziele verfolgen. Auf diese Weise befördert Psychoanalyse eine kritische Argumentationskultur. Die Reihe «Psychoanalyse im Dialog» ist ein Publikationsforum für wissenschaftliche Studien theoretischer und empirischer Art, in denen psychoanalytisches Denken und Wissen auf neuen Feldern fruchtbar wird. Die Reihe ist offen für wissenschaftliche Monographien, Anthologien und Mehrautorenwerke zu interdisziplinären Projekten. Sie lädt aber auch dazu ein, innovative Formen wissenschaftlicher Darstellung zu erproben – hier hat das psychoanalytische Denken noch ungehobene Schätze zu bieten – und innovative Formen des Dialogs zu führen, zum Beispiel zwischen Kunst und Wissenschaft.

Micro y Pequeña Empresa Latinoamericana

The works in this collection are open access and aim to promote and disseminate quality scientific production in the economic-administrative area and related areas, developing research on micro and small enterprises focusing on a particular aspect each year. The relevance of the study contributes to the generation of knowledge for the development of a management model with characteristics specific to the micro and small enterprises in Latin America. The study is applied to owners, directors or managers of these organizations, who make most of the decisions.
