The series «Musicological Studies» offers innovating analysis of Western music from the origins to the present time. One of the aims of this collection is to present the diversity of the methodological approaches used by current scientific studies. It will thrive to focus on very different subjects and to integrate interdisciplinary studies. Whether it be monographs or collective works, any original reflection or any kind of study centring on an innovating field of research would thus be welcome into the «Musicological Studies» series. La collection « Études de Musicologie » propose des analyses innovantes des questions touchant à la musique occidentale des origines à nos jours. Elle vise naturellement à refléter la diversité des approches méthodologiques qui caractérisent les travaux scientifiques actuels. Elle privilégie la variété des sujets abordés, et est en particulier ouverte aux travaux interdisciplinaires. Monographie ou ouvrage collectif, toute étude fondée sur une recherche inédite ou une réflexion originale est donc susceptible d’’enrichir la collection « Études de Musicologie ».

Archipelagic Studies

This series focuses on the islands of the North Atlantic archipelago and on the water that surrounds those islands from pre-history through to the eighteenth century. Moving beyond traditional national histories, the series will highlight research that examines localities or regions bounded by geography and transnational studies of the insular world, and connections between peoples and societies within the archipelago and their neighbours to the south (Brittany) and the north (Norway and beyond). Archipelagic studies will explore a range of themes (landscape, society, culture, language, religion, trade networks) and incorporate a number of disciplines and approaches (archaeology, heritage, history, literature, historical ecology, environmental, marine, political, social).

In den Beiträgen werden erziehungswissenschaftliche Themen im Kontext postkolonialer Perspektiven erörtert. Themengebiete sind beispielsweise Subjektivierungs- und Normalisierungsprozesse. Hinzu kommen Fragestellungen aus der Soziologie und Geschichtswissenschaft. Herausgegeben wird die Reihe von Erziehungswissenschaftlern mit dem Schwerpunkt postkoloniale Theorie.

New Visions of the Cosmopolitan

New Visions of the Cosmopolitan explores how the forces of contemporary social change release a cosmopolitan energy that dilutes the relevance of the nation-state. The «‘transnational turn»’ creates tendencies toward greater world openness. A more pluralist, multi-perspectivist late modernity requires a cosmopolitan research framework capable of illustrating how world histories and futures are intricately connected under these new conditions. This series offers a body of work exploring how cosmopolitan ideas, emerging from encounters between local and global currents, generate impulses towards social, cultural, legal, political and economic transformation. The series invites contributions that focalize this contemporary situation using theories, perspectives and methodologies drawn from multiple disciplines. Of particular, although not exclusive, interest are proposals exploring: transnational visions of justice and solidarity; cosmopolitan publics; researching cosmopolitan worlds; cosmopolitan memory; the cosmopolitics of contemporary global capitalism; borders of the cosmopolitan; cosmopolitanism in the non-western world; security, war and peace in a cosmopolitan age; multiple modernities; divergence and convergence; political culture and multi-level governance. This peer-reviewed series publishes monographs and edited collections.

"inklings - Jahrbuch für Literatur" bildet ein Forum für wissenschaftliche Aufsätze zur fantastischen Literatur von den Anfängen bis zur Gegenwart, insbesondere aber zu den Autoren des Oxforder Inklings-Kreises (J.R.R. Tolkien, C.S. Lewis u.a.) und deren Anregern. Die Beiträge sind nicht auf literaturwissenschaftliche Themen beschränkt, sondern beleuchten auch philosophische, theologische, kunst- und musikgeschichtliche, medienkundliche, soziologische und pädagogische Aspekte. Zwei Drittel der Aufsätze dokumentieren die Beiträge zu den Symposien der Inklings-Gesellschaft. Band 39 schließt dieses Jahrbuch ab.

Die MinGLA-Reihe stellt eine Plattform für Forschung und internationalen Austausch zum Thema germanischsprachiger Minderheiten in Lateinamerika dar. In enger Zusammenarbeit mit dem gleichnamigen Forschungsnetzwerk soll die Buchreihe den Diskurs zum Thema bündeln, aktuelle Forschungsergebnisse präsentieren und darüber hinaus den wissenschaftlichen Austausch zwischen Europa und Lateinamerika fördern. Romanticism and after in France / Le Romantisme et après en France

Romanticism and after in France is a series designed to publish research monographs or longer works of high quality whether by established scholars or recent graduates, dealing with French literature in the period from pre-Romanticism to the turn of the twentieth century. Books may be in English or French, and may consist of studies of single authors or of wider topics. All submissions will be assessed by experts before acceptance. Le Romantisme et après en France est une collection dont le but est de publier des monographies ou des ouvrages de plus longue haleine, que ce soit des enseignants chevronnés ou de jeunes chercheurs. Ces livres traiteront de la littérature française depuis la période préromantique jusqu'aux premières années du vingtième siècle, et pourront être en anglais ou en français; ils pourront traiter d'un seul auteur ou d'un sujet plus étendu. Toute proposition sera évaluée par un comité d'experts.

The Book Serie «Champs didactiques plurilingues» aims to promote practice and research about foreign language teaching and learning from a triple bond between subjects, objects and contexts, each with their individual and interacting dynamics. This involves the disciplinary fields involved in the production of practical and theoretical ideas, and of the concrete, educational and professional contexts of teaching and learning , together with school and university language policies which influence the learning of a particular language, the choice of languages and their status. The purpose of the «French Diplomatic Documents» (DDF) is to present year on year the most significant documents relating to French Foreign Policy – preserved by the French Ministry of Foreign Affairs. A rigorous scientific method is employed for the document selection undertaken by independent groups of scholars and historians under the direction of eminent academics. For this purpose, the groups of scholars are provided complete access to all archives, produced or received by the French Ministry of Foreign Affairs. In order to facilitate reading, the selection of the documents published is annotated using a methodical table, footnotes and an index of names. The DDF series is an indispensable tool for information concerning the history of international relations and French diplomacy during the course of the 20th century. The «French Diplomatic Documents» publications currently in preparation are chaired by the Diplomatic Archives Commission. Présenter, année par année, les documents les plus significatifs de la politique étrangère de la France et conservés par le ministère des affaires étrangères : tel est l’’objet des « Documents diplomatiques français » (DDF). La sélection de ces documents est faite d’une façon rigoureusement scientifique et en toute indépendance par des équipes de chercheurs et d’’historiens sous la direction d’’éminents universitaires. Pour ce faire, ces équipes ont un accès total à toutes les archives produites ou reçues par le ministère français des affaires étrangères. La sélection des documents publiés est complétée, pour en rendre la lecture plus aisée, par une table méthodique, des notes de bas de page et un index des noms de personnes.
