Sofia Conferences on Social and Economic Development in Europe

The series covers the proceedings of the Sofia Conferences on Sustainable Economic and Social Development (SCSESD). The conferences are organized by the Faculty of Economics and Business Administration (FEBA) of Sofia University in cooperation with the University of Cologne. They serve as a platform for encounters between Southeastern European scientists and colleagues from other regions, especially from Germany, Switzerland, Russia, and the USA. Thus the topics cover both, aspects of the social and economic situation in Southeast Europe as well as findings and ideas which might be useful for the further development of Europe, countries formerly under Communist rule, and the world. Est privilégiée l’étude des textes et des modes d’écriture dont il s’agit de mettre en valeur le potentiel d’innovation. La pluralité des méthodes mises en œuvre vise à rendre compte de l’apport des textes considérés aux différents genres et discours selon aussi le contexte d’histoire littéraire ou des idées dans lequel ces productions s’inscrivent. Une place particulière est faite aux enquêtes sur le théâtre depuis le XVIIIe siècle, abordé également du point de vue de la performance, ainsi qu’aux relations littéraires et culturelles (parallèles, transferts, réception) entre la France et le monde germanique. Phenomenology and Literature

The focus of this series is on studies using the tenets of phenomenology and its various (dogmatic and skeptical) evolutions to elucidate and interpret primarily literary works of art in the contexts of aesthetics, ontology, epistemology, axiology, hermeneutics, communication, reader response, reception, cultural and social theory. Studies of a comparative nature which straddle and/or combine the disciplines of philosophical and literary studies are distinctive features of this monograph series. Emphasis is on subjects that may advance the state of the art, set trends, generate and continue discussion, expand horizons beyond present perspectives, and/or redefine previously held notions. Approaches may center on individual works, authors, schools of phenomelogical thought, and/or abstract notions, including issues of a comparative nature spanning the cultures, languages, and literatures of several nations from the perspectives of world literature and philosophy. In the past few years, our political, cultural, and media landscapes have cultivated a sharp, notable rise of media activism, more representations of diverse groups and characters, and the need for intersectional approaches to media studies. The #MeToo campaign, the 2017 and 2018 Women’s Marches, Black Lives Matter marches, cross-border anti-feminicide activist marches, immigration marches, and increased representation of diverse sexual identities, racial/ethnic groups, and gender identities are evidence of the need for continued research on cultural media studies topics. The Peter Lang Cultural Media Studies Book Series is accepting book proposals for both proposed book and fully developed manuscripts on a rolling basis for media studies books that explore media production, media consumption, media effects, and media representations of feminism(s), race/ethnicity, gender, sexuality, and related topics.

Die Bedeutung des Personalmanagements für den Erfolg von Unternehmen ist in der Praxis wie in der Wissenschaft unbestritten. Allerdings zeigt sich national und international, daß nach wie vor zwischen Anspruch und Wirklichkeit große Unterschiede bestehen. Diese Schriftenreihe will dazu beitragen, die Defizite zu reduzieren. So werden neue Entwicklungen im Bereich des Personalmanagements vorgestellt, erfolgreiche Praktiken präsentiert, interdisziplinäre Verknüpfungen verdeutlicht. Sowohl konzeptionelle Arbeiten wie empirische Studien werden in dieser Schriftenreihe aufgenommen. Im Einzelfall handelt es sich um Sammelbände und Konferenzberichte, wobei auch hier besonders internationale Aspekte des Personalmanagements diskutiert werden sollen. Die Autoren dieser Schriftenreihe sind entsprechend sowohl Vertreter verschiedener Bereiche der Praxis als auch der Wissenschaft.
