  • Berkeley Models of Grammars

This series invites an array of grammar types useful both as learning devices and as research tools. The freedom to break away from Latin and Greek grammar models, traditionally required, in particular of Indo-European historical languages, is respected and even urged when appropriate. On the other hand, the valuable genetic study of language should remain a sought-after, well-developed endeavor, and should not be lost to the present and future world of learning. Accordingly, the Berkeley Models of Grammars series seeks forward-looking, theoretically sophisticated methodologies which are at the same time relatively exhaustive or complete grammars of a given language at any period of its existence. • Challenges in Public Health

    ISSN: 1863-768X

  • Action publique / Public Action

    ISSN: 1783-6077

The series « Public Action » studies the State and how it works from a variety of perspectives. It focuses on public policy analysis (environment, health, employment culture, etc.) as well as the institutional and organizational study of public administrations. The mutations that characterize nowadays public action (deregulation, externalisation, contractualisation and networking) are at the heart of these preoccupations. Consequently, the series « Public Action » also places further emphasis on the relationship the State maintains with its environment; – not only the political apparatus and, of course, civil society, but also with broader social changes such as individualism and globalization. Multidisciplinary work is an essential characteristic of contemporary research in the field. Given the essential need for such approaches to the topic, this series encourages economic, historical, judicial, politological, sociological and philosophical perspectives.

  • Ius, Lex et Res Publica

Studies in Law, Philosophy and Political Cultures

The Ius, Lex et Res Publica. Studies in Law, Philosophy and Political Cultures series explores a wide range of topics, especially within the Polish legal and socio-political framework. This new series of monographs focuses chiefly on topics related to current legal and socio-political tendencies, comparative studies, philosophical, legal, and political theory, psychology and sociology of law, and other subjects that would be of interest to law practitioners and scholars conducting research in the field of social sciences. Intending to promote interdisciplinary and multidimensional scholarship, the Ius, Lex et Res Publica series encourages an innovative approach to classical studies in national-oriented, European, and international matters. In addition, this series will seek to provide a high academic standard in addressing recent and fundamental legal, philosophical and socio-political problems. Single-author publications, collaborative studies, and collections of academic essays are welcomed.

  • Studies in Religion, Politics and Public Life

    ISSN: 1087-8459

"Both at home and abroad religion is recognized as an important factor in many aspects of life-political, cultural, and economic. To assist an informed public debate, this series publishes innovative studies of unquestionably high standards of scholarship an the role of religion and religiously motivated convictions in politics and public life. Preference is given to interdisciplinary and comparative approaches that explore the historical, conceptual, and normative issues that come to bear an the political and public rote of religion, as well as the nature of values and structures of arguments relevant to general policy concerns. The books in this series include monographs, anthologies, and textbooks. They are of particular lnterest to political scientists, historians, philosophers, theologians, and legal and social analysts. Three ideas guide this series: (1) The role of religion in the making of public policy has become and is likely to remain a subject of considerable debate in American society; (2) Despite a political and constitutional tradition that separates religion and government, there is neither conceptual clarity nor political consensus an how to resolve the many dilemmas created by the presence of religion in the public sphere; (3) There is an urgent need to develop interdisciplinary models for understanding the rote, if any, that religion ought to play in our political and public lives.
