Jazz under State Socialism

The series "Jazz under State Socialism" is dedicated to publishing approaches to History and Music. Scholars examine the historical position and foundation of Jazz under the conditions of socialism. The contributions also refer to questions of Sociology and Political Science. The editor Gertrud Pickhan is professor of Central and Eastern European History.
