  • Caribbean Studies

Caribbean Studies treats all aspects of Caribbean culture and society, including, but not necessarily limited to, literatures, history, film, music, art, geography, politics, languages, and social sciences. Studies may focus on European, Amerindian, African, or Asian heritages or on a combination of any/all of the above. Linear and chronological approaches, as well as comparative studies are welcome. Places and/or cultures under study may include English-, Spanish-, French-, or Dutch-speaking areas in any time frame or discipline. Manuscripts may be written in English, Spanish, or French, preferably in the language in which the author feels most comfortable. Studies may be on contemporary or previous periods and, if appropriate, can draw comparisons with other global regions.

  • Trans-Atlántico / Trans-Atlantique

    Literaturas / Littératures

    ISSN: 2033-6861

* * * The Series «Trans-Atlántico / Trans-Atlantique» gathers research on migrations, interactions, and exchanges that, over more than five centuries, have shaped the cultures on both sides of the Atlantic in diverse ways. Echoing the eponymous novel by Witold Gombrowicz, whose title includes the hyphen, the collection positions itself as an academic platform for advancing a transcultural approach to the phenomena under investigation. It provides a structured framework for analyzing the dynamics of dialogue and confrontation between the two shores of the Atlantic, while fostering the development of theoretical and creative practices aimed at questioning and reconfiguring established paradigms within the field of transcultural studies.
