Mediated Youth publishes cutting-edge research on the cultures, media and artifacts of children, tweens, teens, and young adults. This series aims to understand the complex relationship between youth and mediated cultures, and, whenever possible, include the voices of youth themselves. The series welcomes works that study any forms of digital culture, media culture or popular culture, such as social media, gaming, film/TV, music, fashion, sports, toys, leisure, clubs, school cultures/activities, film, dance, language, licensing/merchandising, and subcultures. Books in this series endeavor to explore how young people critically engage with mediated culture. The series invites works that engage with transdisciplinary methods and embrace a variety of critical perspectives.

This series, edited by the Department of Language Sciences and Foreign Literatures of the Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore in Milan, intends to publish scholarly reflections on the languages and literatures taught within this Languages and Literatures Faculty. The series is rooted in a tradition of studies which are both philologico-literary and linguistic - a combination of approaches designed to be both rigorous and complemen-tary. The themes of the series will focus on linguistic, stylistic and literary studies re-lated to both European and extra-European cultures. The series will include mostly mo-nographs and doctoral thesis. Questa collana del Dipartimento di Scienze Linguistiche e Letterature Straniere dell'Università Cattolica di Milano intende offrire una riflessione scientifica organica sulle lingue e le letterature europee ed extraeuropee, di cui si professa linsegnamento nella Facoltà di Scienze Linguistiche e Letterature Straniere della medesima Università. La collana fonda le radici in una tradizione di studi caratterizzata da due filoni - uno filologico-letterario, l'altro linguistico - colti nella loro reciprocità. (Post-)Critical Global Childhood & Youth Studies

This book series focuses on post-critical research in global childhood & youth studies and education. It aims to trace the stimulating exchange of ideas on contemporary issues affecting children and young people around the world, while exploring possibilities for local and global social change. The intent is to situate, and possibly deconstruct, the systems of reasoning that govern human development and education, including deconstructing predominant critical paradigms. The series encourages innovative writing formats as well as novel theoretical and methodological approaches to co-producing knowledge in fields such as: urban, rural, and indigenous childhood & youth; child poverty and social policy, ecology and youth activism; immigration & social and educational inequalities; the experience of schooling and machine learning in diverse contexts of global education. It is addressed to relevant scholars and students as well as to policy makers, educators, and youth workers from all over the world.
