Philippe C. G. Adam (PhD, EHESS Paris) is director of the Institute for Prevention and Social Research and a senior research fellow at the Centre for Social Research in Health, University of New South Wales in Sydney, Australia. Combining perspectives from social sciences and health promotion, his research helps us understand and address the individual and social factors that shape people’s health behaviors. His work uniquely bridges the gap between research and prevention practice. Kath Albury (PhD, UNSW) is an associate professor in the School of Arts and Media at the University of New South Wales in Sydney, Australia. Her current research focuses on young people’s practices of digital self-representation and the role of user-generated media (including social networking platforms) in young people’s formal and informal sexual learning. Sara Bastiaensens is a PhD student and researcher in Communication Studies at the University of Antwerp. Within the scope of the Friendly ATTAC project (www.friendlyattac.be), she is conducting research on adolescents’ bystander behavior in cases of cyberbullying. Anca Birzescu holds a PhD in Communication Studies from Bowling Green State University (BGSU). Her research interests include postcolonial theory, feminist cultural studies, ethnic identity, gender and communication, digitally mediated communication and development, and mass media discourse in Eastern and Central Europe. Her doctoral research addressed Roma minority identity negotiation in postcommunist Romania. She has served as an adjunct faculty member at BGSU Firelands.
