Pedagogy of Constructive Humanistic Transformation Through Cinema
Chapter 3. Ten Movies
| 73 →
Although in the first two chapters I discussed many substantive films with potential for constructive humanistic transformation, both on the personal and social level, I have chosen ten specific films to discuss in detail to contextualize these theoretical arguments. My main objective here is to try and convince you (the reader) to consider deep engagement with “transformative” cinema. There are, of course, hundreds if not thousands of movies that merit deep discussion in terms of their transformative elements, and many thousands more will be made in the future. Alas, one book can cover only so much space.
