MICHEL BRUNET is Senior Lecturer in English at the University of Valenciennes and Hainaut-Cambrésis, France. A graduate of the Universities of Paris and Lille, he wrote his doctoral thesis on William Trevor’s short stories. His main areas of research lie in Irish literature, with a particular focus on Anglo-Irish writing. He also has a strong interest in Irish minorities and issues related to identity. He has published widely on George Moore and on contemporary Irish fiction.
ISABELLE ENAUD-LECHIEN is a senior lecturer at the University Charles-de-Gaulle Nord de France, where she teaches Art History. Author of Edgar Degas, Un regard sur la vie moderne (2012), she has also published on James McNeill Whistler, J. M. W. Turner and Edward Burne-Jones. She is co-editor with Joëlle Prungnaud of Postérité de John Ruskin: l’héritage ruskinien dans les textes littéraires et les écrits esthétiques (2011). Her current research concerns links between Victorian painting and the nineteenth-century French avant-garde.
BRENDAN FLEMING is a lecturer in English and an honorary Senior Research Fellow in Humanities at the University of Buckingham where he teaches courses on modernism, fiction and theory and modern American literature. He has published extensively on George Moore and is currently researching Moore’s involvement with the Irish language movement and the Irish Literary Revival.
