Quelques Réflexions Sur Le Traitement Automatique Des Collocations

Abstract: In this paper the author proposes to make an overview of the problems raised by the collocations in terms of their translation. On the basis of the French adjectives analyzed for the purpose of the present study, following the object classes, the author demonstrates the interest of a contrastive approach to collocations. A contrastive description allows to show the main difficulty posed by the collocations with a view to improving a lexicographical approach to this type of linguistic items. The document summarizes definitions of collocation and presents some particularities of this concept for the machine translation system.
