El presente tomo colectivo – fruto del simposio internacional «Migración y contacto de lenguas en el siglo XXI» (Universidad de Bremen, Alemania) – posiciona la lingüística de la migración como disciplina entre la lingüística de contacto y la sociolingüística. Abarca proyectos actuales de investigación en los campos de cambio lingüístico, migración interna, contacto de lenguas y variedades lingüísticas en la diáspora.

Se enfocan casos ejemplares de contacto lingüístico en el español en América del Norte (EE. UU.) y del Sur (Ecuador, Perú y Argentina), el gallego en Alemania y en Argentina, el francés en la India, lenguas criollas de base francesa en la diáspora, la identidad lingüística cubanoamericana y el judeoespañol en Turquía.

L’ouvrage collectif – issu du symposium international « Migration et contact de langues au XXIe siècle » (Université de Brême, Allemagne) – situe la linguistique migratoire entre la linguistique de contact et la sociolinguistique. Il comprend des projets actuels de recherche dans les domaines du changement linguistique, de la migration interne, du contact de langues et des variétés linguistiques dans la diaspora.

Des études exemplaires illustrent le contact linguistique dans l’espagnol aux États-Unis d'Amérique et dans l’Amérique du Sud (l’Équateur, le Pérou, l’Argentine), le galicien en Allemagne et en Argentine, le français en Inde, des langues créoles à base française dans la diaspora, des identités linguistiques cubano-américaines et le judéo-espagnol en Turquie.

El galemañol. Aspectos pragmáticos del contacto migracional entre español, gallego y alemán en la zona Rin-Neckar (Alemania)

Abstract: This paper focuses on the linguistic behavior of Galician migrants of different generations residing in the highly industrialized Rhine-Neckar-Triangle in Southwestern Germany, where a solid Spanish community emerged in the sixties, due to economic migration from Spain. The analysis of the linguistic integration in the German-speaking environment of the Galician part of this community is beneficial because it contributes to the knowledge of Galician and Spanish outside of Galicia and Spain, in an almost unexplored area of study. In theoretical and methodological perspective the inquiry is based on the pluridimensional approach of linguistics of migration, which has already been applied in other studies. The contact situation is characterized by a high complexity, due to the involvement of seven languages and varieties. Besides the diatopic varieties of German, Galician and Spanish, their respective standard varieties are also systematically considered. The analysis focuses on the quality and the dynamics of the selection of each of these varieties by each of the interviewed speakers, taking into account their classification into three generations and further, within the first generation, into two categories of speakers. In conclusion, the tendencies and the general dynamics of the contact between German, Galician and Spanish, which is coined among the speakers themselves as “galemañol”, are briefly described.
