In recent years, the importance of human resources has started to be understood more precisely by organizations. Because human is the basic factor that leads organizations to success or failure. The talents, knowledge and skills of creative and qualified individuals working in an organization and along with the knowledge accumulated in the organization make up the intellectual capital. However, this intellectual capital must be managed effectively and efficiently within the organizations. Otherwise, the intellectual capital accumulation owned by the organization will not benefit the organization. Since the main source of intellectual capital accumulation in an organization is the employees of the company, it is necessary to bring these individuals together under teams which have to be managed effectively. Therefore, in this section, the relationship between intellectual capital and effective team management is explained. In the chapter, the concept of intellectual capital has been addressed first, and the definition and characteristics of intellectual capital, its elements, its importance for organizations and the management of intellectual capital are explained. Afterwards, the concept of effective team management was discussed and the definition and characteristics of the concept of team, the reasons for team formation in enterprises, the importance and benefits of teamwork for enterprises, the basic characteristics of effective teams, effective team profile, and the relationship between intellectual capital and effective team management were mentioned.
