Strategic Role of Leadership Approach in Corporate Communication


Abstract Competition and constant change intensifying with globalisation have rendered activities of corporations even more complex. Corporations have to adapt themselves to any environmental factors and make a difference in a competition atmosphere threatening their existence. Corporate communication is for a corporation to strategically plan and implement communication measures oriented to all target audiences of that corporation. Corporate communication, at the same time, is to create awareness about products and services offered by the enterprises and to improve the commitment and trust to the target audience. The most important value of a corporation to create a difference and gain a competitive advantage is their employees. Customer satisfaction is closely related to employee satisfaction for corporations. Therefore, one cannot achieve customer satisfaction without first improving human capital. Employees that are communicated with and managed well results in qualified products/services and customer satisfaction. Carrying out corporate communication in a healthy way is about first incorporating relevant values into the corporate vision and mission and then reflecting this understanding to all work processes of the corporation. The aim of this study is to determine the role of leadership approaches for the activation of employees in corporate communication. The research study is important in terms of determining manners and behaviours of managers on this issue.
