Projektbericht- Medienkompetenz und Cybermobbing in der Sekundarstufe 1
Abstract: On the basis of an ever-changing concept of media, the societal interpretation of medial acting is as old as media themselves. At least since Baacke’s terminological modelling of the phenomenon “media competence” in the 1990s, an interdisciplinary engagement with the process of reflexive media acting has been taking place. Furthermore, media competence is part of societal discourses, particularly in regard to the institutional embedding of the corresponding bodies of socialisation, and is analogously reflected in the individual curricula of the federal states and schools.
If one further accepts the theoretically modelled universal communication competence that is inherent to the concept, an enormous potential for promotion becomes available to schools as institutions. However, in order to be able to reasonably develop potential promotion approaches, it is indispensable to take students’ media behaviour and habits of media use into account. The evaluation developed on this theoretical basis wants to exemplarily depict students’ use of media habits and sketch particular approaches and perspectives for a non-instructional but rather supportive and cooperative collaboration of the bodies involved in processes of socialisation.
