Die Methoden des Kreativen Schreibens als Instrument der Problemlösung im translatorischen Akt
In his paper the author indicates how to apply the techniques and procedures of creative writing in the training of future translators. In the theoretical part he firstly presents a typology of creative exercises systematised according to various criteria: methods of writing, focus of writing on product or process, working techniques and strategy. He also describes the general aspects of practising writing when learning translation and the possible use of various techniques of individual writing for specific stages of translation, from sensitization of the translators through reading the source text, analysing and interpreting it, the collection of target language material to evaluation of the translation. The author also explains the didactic connections between individual steps and text exercises. In the practical part the author simulates an order for a translation and documents the results of individual steps with annotated examples of students’ ideas for the translation. The innovativeness of this teaching method lies in the fact that continuous recording of each step enables students and teachers to monitor and reflect on the development of the students’ learning. Methods of creative writing thus become an effective instrument in the development of the translator.
