Biographical notes

Kevin McCafferty (Volume editor) Tove Bull (Volume editor) Kristin Killie (Volume editor)

The Editors: Kevin McCafferty is Senior Lecturer in English Linguistics at the University of Bergen. His research interests are in sociolinguistics, the history of Irish English, and grammaticalisation in language contact. Tove Bull is former Rector of the University of Tromsø, where she is Professor of Nordic Linguistics. She has published on, e.g., language and gender, Norwegian language history and Norwegian-Sami language contact in northern Norway. Kristin Killie is a Post-doctoral Fellow at the University of Tromsø. Her main field of research is English grammar from a historical perspective. Publications include a book and articles on -ly adverbials, and she is currently working on a study of progressive aspect in English.
