Synopsis

The book Contemporary Trends in Psychology and Education examines how education was impacted during the pandemic and post-pandemic periods and how students and teachers adapted to the new teaching-learning conditions. As teaching is multifaceted, understanding the impact of these changes is essential for flexible adaptation. The chapters focus on the psychological challenges and coping strategies of different groups, including teachers, students, teenagers with special needs, the elderly, and detainees. The book also addresses resilience, student motivation, and learning opportunities for adults, particularly the elderly and detainees. It explores the dynamics between digital natives and immigrants, emphasizing the shift to online teaching and the challenges and opportunities it brought. About the Editor

Roxana Maier, Ph.D., is Associate Professor at Babeș-Bolyai University in Cluj-Napoca, Aurel Vlaicu University of Arad, and the Ecological University of Bucharest, Romania. Her scientific interests include trauma psychology, therapy, and educational psychology, complemented by over 18 years of practical experience in these fields.
