"The [Re]thinking Environmental Education book series is a response to the international recognition that environmental issues have taken center stage in political and social discourse. Resolution and/or re-evaluation of the many contemporary environmental issues will require a thoughtful, informed, and well-educated citizenry. Quality environmental education does not come easily; it must be grounded in mindful practice and research excellence. This series reflects the highest quality of contemporary scholarship and, as such, is positioned at the leading edge not only of the field of environmental education, but of education generally. There are many approaches to environmental education research and delivery, each grounded in particular contexts and epistemological, ontological and axiological positions, and this series reflects that diversity."

Environmental Humanities and Indigeneity

Series Editor: Debashree Dattaray (Jadavpur University, India) This book series would foreground the interface of indigenous knowledge systems, environmental justice, and the emerging field of environmental humanities. It will focus on recent research that locates indigenous worldviews, practices, and histories at the centre of discussion in the context of increasing environmental challenges and climate crises. Through a critical and interdisciplinary perspective, the series will address the devastating impacts of neocolonialism globalization and ecological degradation. Consequently, the series would attempt to amplify indigenous voices, knowledge, and agency. The series aims to initiate a dialogue, scholarship, and action between scholars, activists and writers in the field from both the Global South and the Global North that would in turn facilitate environmental justice, sustainable practices, and recognition of the rights and knowledge of indigenous peoples. Proposals are invited in a range of topics which situate indigenous epistemologies within the larger concerns of environmental humanities. Works may focus but not be limited to topics such as indigeneity, eco-poetics, eco-aesthetics, cultural studies, environmental justice, literary theory, animal studies, environmental aesthetics, narrative cultures, environmental materialities, environmental sustainability from an interdisciplinary perspective. The series would seek to prioritize ecological wisdom embedded in Indigenous cultures that challenge technocratic solutions. The series articulates more inclusive, decolonial and ethically grounded environmental approaches. The home market, the Euro, strong international cooperation, economic success and peace in Europe will work better and with more stability, or at least less difficulty, the more multilin-gual Europeans are. While the institutional EU has done a lot to pursue the targets (since 2007, there have been a separate fund and a Commissioner for Multilingualism), the situation in the individual countries continues to differ widely. The result is that the multilingual abili-ties of European citizens and societal multilingualism, including diglossia, vary from country to country. The series Multilingualism in Europe seeks to contribute from different perspectivesto a bet-ter definition of the phenomenon of multilingualism, providing theoretical and practical sup-port on how multilingualism can be explored and promoted and how it can work effectively. Interdisciplinary approaches are welcome in the following areas: • Linguistics • Neurolinguistics • Psychology • Didactics of multilingualism • Politics • History • Sociology • Political Sciences • Comparative Literature and Cultural Studies Le marché européen, l'Euro, l’importante coopération internationale, la réussite économique et la paix en Europe sont d’autant plus stables et fonctionnent d’autant mieux si la plupart des citoyens européens sont plurilingues. L’UE a fait suivre ses objectifs de mesures concrètes (depuis 2007, il y a un commissaire à l'éducation, à la culture, au multilinguisme et à la jeunesse), cependant la situation dans les différents pays européens reste très hétérogène : les compétences plurilinguistiques des citoyens européens et le multilinguisme sociétal, y compris la diglossie varient d'un pays à l'autre. La collection « Multilinguisme en Europe » a comme objectif d’apporter une contribution en analysant ces questions sous des angles divers, en cernant le phénomène du multilinguisme et en fournissant des apports théoriques et pratiques qui permettent de promouvoir le multilinguisme et le savoir comment celui progresse de manière efficace. Les domaines scientifiques suivants constituent le point de départ, l’interdisciplinarité y est dominante : • linguistique • neurolinguistique • psychologie • didactique du plurilinguisme • histoire • sociologie • sciences politiques • littérature et civilisations comparées Binnenmarkt, Euro, intensive internationale Zusammenarbeit, wirtschaftlicher Erfolg und Friede in Europa können umso besser und stabiler bzw. überhaupt störungsfrei funktionieren, wenn möglichst viele EuropäerInnen mehrsprachig sind. Während die EU institutionell den Zielvorgaben konkrete Taten hat folgen lassen (seit 2007 gibt es ein eigenes Portfolio und damit einen eigenen Kommissar für Mehrsprachigkeit), sieht die Lage in den einzelnen Ländern weiterhin sehr unterschiedlich aus. Die Folge: Die Mehrsprachenkompetenz der europäischen BürgerInnen und die gesellschaftliche Mehrsprachigkeit inklusive der Diglossie variieren von Land zu Land. Die Reihe Mehrsprachigkeit in Europa möchte einen Beitrag dazu leisten, das Thema aus unterschiedlichen Blickwinkeln zu analysieren, das Phänomen der Mehrsprachigkeit besser zu definieren und theoretische und praktische Hilfestellungen dahin gehend zu geben, wie Mehrsprachigkeit erforscht und gefördert werden kann und wie sie effizient funktioniert. The purpose of this collection is to promote the work carried out by the Normandy Chair for Peace, which investigates the rights of future generations and Peace with the Earth. Resolutely open to the international scene and committed to multidisciplinarity, the Normandy Chair for Peace will publish here the proceedings and scholarship it has coordinated in fields as varied as: the legal protection of the planet, the rights of indigenous peoples, the rights of nature, animals, success stories, and environmental peace-building. This collection strives for coherence among the various transformations currently under way in international, regional and national legal systems with a view toward establishing sustainable protection of the environment, environmental rights and the future. The collection also explores protection of the future human condition along with bioethical issues that are constantly renewing the legitimate fields of law. Drawing on the immemorial wisdom of Humankind, this collection intends to promote all types of work illustrating the imperative of civilization according to which: "We shall have peace on Earth when we live in Peace with the Earth". Cette collection a pour objet de promouvoir les travaux menés par la Chaire Normandie pour la Paix qui œuvre pour le droit des générations futures et la Paix avec la Terre. Résolument ouverte à l’international et inscrite dans la pluridisciplinarité, la Chaire Normandie pour la paix publiera ici les travaux scientifiques qu’elle aura coordonné dans des domaines aussi variés que　: la protection juridique de la planète, des droits des peuples autochtones, des droits de la nature, des animaux, des success stories, de la construction de la paix environnementale. Elle œuvre pour une mise en cohérence de différentes transformations actuellement en cours au sein des systèmes juridiques internationaux, régionaux à nationaux en vue d’instituer une protection durable de l’environnement, des droits environnementaux et de l’avenir. Elle est également ouverte à la protection de la condition humaine future et aux questions de bioéthique qui ne cessent de renouveler les champs légitimes du droit. Prenant appui sur la sagesse immémoriale de l’Humanité, cette collection entend promouvoir tous types de travaux illustrant cet impératif de civilisation selon lequel　: «　Nous aurons la paix sur Terre lorsque nous vivrons en Paix avec la Terre　».

Die Buchreihe «Sprache, Mehrsprachigkeit und sozialer Wandel» beschäftigt sich mit linguistischen Fragestellungen im Bereich der Romanistik. Der thematische Schwerpunkt der Reihe liegt auf Untersuchungen zu Sprachkontakt, Sprachkonflikten, Sprachbewusstsein und den Varietäten verschiedener romanischer Sprachen. Frankophonie, Mehrsprachigkeit und Migration sowie soziale Identifikation durch Sprache stehen ebenfalls im Fokus der Reihenbände. Herausgeber der Reihe ist der Sprachwissenschaftler Professor Jürgen Erfurt.

This interdisciplinary and international book series aims to bring together current approaches in the environmental humanities (particularly in the fields of ecocriticism, environmental history, and environmental justice), with a focus on European contexts. It comprises thematic and theoretical studies which engage ecological issues, climate change, and the discourse of the Anthropocene, seeking to understand the forms of their representation across different media, cultures, and historical periods. „Studies in Literature, Culture, and the Environment" aim to connect the environmental humanities to the social and natural sciences and thus to contribute to the remediation of ecological problems.
