Khatleen Alnas is a Filipino native who immigrated to Canada in 2008. She has a degree in Education (from the University of the Philippines) and she is currently finishing her last semester as a graduate student at the University of Calgary. Her areas of interest include (but are not limited to) the Reggio Emilia Approach, ecology, poetry, early childhood education, hermeneutics, pedagogy, critical literature, and arts-based research
Deirdre Bailey wants to live in a world where pedagogy is patient, stories are sacred and wild things are free. As an educator and writer, she is a passionate and vocal advocate for inquiry, ecology and experience in education. When she’s not experimenting, deconstructing or philosophizing with students, you can find her running trails around town, re-reading the collected works of Jane Austen, or escaping to the mountains in a tent.
Stephanie Bartlett is pursuing her master of education degree at the University of Calgary, specializing in Curriculum and Learning. A long-time supporter of environmental issues, her efforts to teach sustainability begin with teaching her students the importance of loving their local community. She enjoys writing poetry and connecting with nature.
Hannah Blades is an elementary and middle school teacher in Calgary, Alberta. Her pedagogical interests include worthwhile task design, collaborative practice and classrooms for social justice. Other interests include her large blended family, vegetable gardens and inflatable pool chairs. She has great difficulty speaking of herself in the third person. ← 261 | 262...
