Following a field trip to Cracker Country, Mrs. Perkins discussed the events of the field trip and created a list on the board. She used shared writing to compose a paragraph about the field trip, which also included relevant social studies content. Mrs. Perkins ended her lesson when she encouraged students to write a paragraph on their own.
