This article deals with the Polish confix euro-, which is specific in many ways. The confix shows a culture-related semantic structure, is pragmatically marked and can be used in a way that differs from the use of the same confix in other languages (e.g. German euro-). This paper shows the main differences in the use of the Polish confix euro- and examines the necessity of including it in a bilingual dictionary.
