This richly photographic collection derived from an exhibition is divided into two parts, one a historical and museological overview of the liturgical collections of the old and new Mainz Cathedral treasury, and the other a catalogue of five art-historical eras within the collections, namely the Middle Ages; Renaissance and Mannerism; Baroque; Classicism, Empire, and Historicism; and Modern and Contemporary.
