Zusammenfassung

Lodging ranges, or collective-living places within a courtyard wing, are a part of the late medieval great house that is identifiable by repeated architectural features and that accommodated middle- to high-ranking members of the household. In this book Sarah Kerr explores these spaces, why they evolved, how they were used, and the multiple meanings of their use.
