Pastoral Theology

This series encourages the theological exploration of Christianity's commitment to action, the relationship between ecclesiology and ethics, and between doctrine and practice. The discussion of the Christian acceptance or rejection of scientific innovation is welcomed, as is the examination of the emerging issues of the twenty-first century, such as genetic screening, gene therapy, insurance and genetics, genetic stigmatisation, cloning, health care and rationing, the reformulation of the just war arguments, and non-lethal weapons. Studies may focus on the reapplication of the Christian tradition to new issues, or may address the contemporary discussion of historical theology but should not be primarily contributions to it. Die Reihe Soziale Sicherheit umfaßt Bücher von internationaler Tragweite über bedeutende Entwicklungen, neuste Erfahrungen sowie Grundsatzdebatten auf dem Gebiet der sozialen Sicherheit und der Sozialpolitik. Außerdem präsentiert sie Ergebnisse vergleichender und zukunftsorientierter Studien, Analysen und Forschungen in diesen Bereichen. Sie bietet den Interessierten Zugang zu aktuellen Problemen der sozialen Sicherheit in ihrer Gesamtheit oder in den einzelnen Sektoren und Zweigen, sowie zu Bewertungen der Wirkung und Effizienz der unterschiedlichen Sozialschutzmaßnahmen. Die Autoren und Herausgeber der Bände in dieser Reihe sind Experten aus Trägerorganisationen der sozialen Sicherheit, Forschungsanstalten, der akademischen Welt und internationalen Organisationen. Die Internationalen Vereinigung für Soziale Sicherheit (IVSS), ist eine 1927 gegründete internationale Organisation. Sie vereint vor allem Institutionen und Verwaltungsorgane aus Ländern der ganzen Welt, die sich mit allen Formen der sozialen Sicherheit befassen, welche aufgrund der Gesetzgebung oder von nationalen Gepflogenheiten in diesen Ländern Bestandteil des Systems sind. Elle donne accès non seulement aux problèmes actuels de la sécurité sociale dans son ensemble ou de ses différents secteurs et branches mais également aux évaluations de l'impact et de l'efficacité des diverses dispositions de protection sociale. D'éminents experts issus d'organismes gestionnaires de sécurité sociale, d'institutions de recherche, de milieux universitaires et d'organisations internationales contribuent à la confection des ouvrages de cette collection. L'Association internationale de la sécurité sociale (AISS) est une organisation internationale fondée en 1927. Elle regroupe, dans les différents pays du monde, essentiellement des institutions et organismes gestionnaires de toutes les formes de protection sociale de nature obligatoire qui, en vertu des législations ou des pratiques nationales, font partie intégrante des systèmes de sécurité sociale de ces pays.
