Religions and Discourse

«Religions and Discourse» explores religious language in the major world faiths from various viewpoints, including semiotics, pragmatics and cognitive linguistics, and reflects on how it is situated within wider intellectual and cultural contexts. In particular a key issue is the role of figurative speech. Many fascinating metaphors originate in religion e.g. revelation as a ‘garment’, apostasy as ‘adultery’, loving kindness as the ‘circumcision of the heart’. Every religion rests its specific orientations upon symbols such as these, to name but a few. The series strives after the interdisciplinary approach that brings together such diverse disciplines as religious studies, theology, sociology, philosophy, linguistics and literature, guided by an international editorial board of scholars representative of the aforementioned disciplines. Though scholarly in its scope, the series also seeks to facilitate discussions pertaining to central religious issues in contemporary contexts. The series will publish monographs and collected essays of a high scholarly standard.

In der seit 1989 bestehenden Reihe “Informationstechnologie und Ökonomie“ werden Monographien und Sammelbände aus dem Gebiet der Volkswirtschaft und Betriebswirtschaft publiziert. Die Bände behandelen mikro- und makroökonomische Fragen im weiteren und engeren Sinne. Dabei liegt der Schwerpunkt stets auf einer Verbindung zu Fragen mit informationstechnologischer Relevanz. Die Herausgeber sind Wirtschaftswissenschaftler mit den Forschungsgebieten IT und eBusiness. Schriftenreihe zum IT- und Informationsrecht

Die neue Schriftenreihe will die umwälzenden Fragen der digitalen Gesellschaft aus juristischer Perspektive nachzeichnen, unter besonderer Berücksichtigung des IT-Rechts und der technischen Bezüge der Digitalisierung. Das besondere Augenmerk gilt dabei der interdisziplinären Verzahnung von Technik und Recht. Dabei weitet sich das IT-Recht zunehmend zu einem allgemeinen Daten- und Informationsrecht aus, sodass auch die Bezüge zu Rechtsfragen von Big Data, dem Dateneigentum oder der datenschutzrechtlichen Zuordnung von Informationen thematisiert werden. Willkommen sind insbesondere Abhandlungen, die die Grundsatzfragen des Informationsrechts interdisziplinär und rechtsvergleichend untersuchen. Die Schriftenreihe wurde Mitte 2022 eingestellt.
