  • Pastoral Theology

This series encourages the theological exploration of Christianity's commitment to action, the relationship between ecclesiology and ethics, and between doctrine and practice. The discussion of the Christian acceptance or rejection of scientific innovation is welcomed, as is the examination of the emerging issues of the twenty-first century, such as genetic screening, gene therapy, insurance and genetics, genetic stigmatisation, cloning, health care and rationing, the reformulation of the just war arguments, and non-lethal weapons. Studies may focus on the reapplication of the Christian tradition to new issues, or may address the contemporary discussion of historical theology but should not be primarily contributions to it. • European Studies in Theology, Philosophy and History of Religions

    ISSN: 2192-1857

This series welcomes publications of European and also non-European scholars who specialize in theology, philosophy and history of religions. The series is intended to promote internationalization of the results of academic research on theological, philosophical and historical-religious questions. Contributions to the series may deal with both particular, narrow-range problems and synthetic, interdisciplinary issues. Likewise, the publications may refer to both systematic problems and more practical considerations. Especially welcome are scholarly works which deal with the significance of theological, philosophical and religious questions for modern Europe, thus enabling new ways of religion- and philosophy-based thinking about the European debates. The academic texts appearing in the series may have the forms of volume-length monographs, collections of articles, proceedings of academic societies, Festschriften, commemorative volumes as well as conference volumes.

  • Issues in Systematic Theology

This series emphasizes issues in contemporary systematic theology but is open to theological issues from the past. Works in this series seek to explore such issues as the relation of reason and revelation, experience and doctrine, the meaning of revelation, method in theology, Trinitarian Theology, the doctrine of God, Christology, sacraments and the Church. Of course other issues such as ecumenical relations or specific doctrinal studies on topics such as predestination or studies evaluating particular influential theologians may be considered. Authors whose work is critical, constructive, and ecumenical are encouraged to consider this series. One of the aims of this series is to illustrate that Christian systematic theologians from different denominations may seek and find Christian unity through dialogue on those central issues that unite them in their quest for truth.
