THE GLOBALIZED PUBLIC SPHERE AND THE NON-LINEAR DYNAMICS OF CULTURAL CHAOS
The geopolitical expansion of both democratic polities and the media channels available for political communication across boundaries of space and time is a necessary condition for the emergence of a globalized public sphere (GPS). The nature and workings of the GPS are, in turn, central elements in the communicative processes which lead to the construction and resolution (for better or worse) of political crises.
