This book is a collection of essays published between 1999 and 2015 in The Federalist Debate (TFD), a four-monthly review born in 1988 to stimulate and feed the circulation of ideas among the various federalist organisations and the movements and citizens active in the global civil society. TFD is published by the Centre for Studies on Federalism (CSF) and the Einstein Centre for International Studies (CESI), based in Turin (Italy). It is co-sponsored by the World Federalist Movement (WMF) and promoted by the Young European Federalists (JEF) and the Union of European Federalists (UEF). TFD is available online at federalist-debate.org. Its website is part of the CSF’s network (see csfederalismo.it). Other online publications of the CSF are Perspectives on Federalism and the Bibliographical Bulletin on Federalism.
