1 Introduction

The technological, socio-cultural and societal developments in the last 20 to 30 years have triggered each other in a cycle and created a change in human life more than that in the previous 100 years. The reflections of this change can be seen in many different areas from as the individual at the micro level to as the social structure at the macro level (social structure) and from information and communication technologies to the forms of trade. These can be considered as a reflection but they are also the triggers of development and change.

Innovation is one of the indispensable concepts for all fields, which was added in the literature by changes. Although the concept of innovation is defined in different ways and there is no consensus on its definition, the common view in these different definitions is that innovation is a new and different phenomenon in terms of product, process, management and marketing approaches.

The concept of innovation has led to significant changes in the health sector as in many other sectors. In this section, the effects of IoT based applications, which are among the innovative approaches that are effective in terms of both product and process in the health sector and recently been very popular, will be evaluated.
