3.4   The Place of Nanotechnology in Industry 4.0

Abstract: When we say “Industry 4.0”, we think of smart machines entering into our lives by spreading a production system and cloud system with the Internet of Things, where objects can communicate with each other. In addition to all this, the work that even scientists cannot do can be done with computer technology. These developments in technology are candidates for convenience in every aspect of our lives, from economy to social life, in working life, and in daily tasks. Nanotechnology, on the other hand, reveals sensitive production processes at the atomic level and groundbreaking new scientific information. In this section, the importance of nanotechnology, which we are faced with in almost every area, is emphasized by taking into consideration its place in Industry 4.0. After a brief introduction about Industry 4.0, the definition of nanotechnology, nanostructures, application areas, and the situation in the world are discussed.

Keywords: Nanotechnology, Industry 4.0, Nanostructures, Industry Revolutions

Technology has become a must in our lives in the global world. Fields such as 3D software, artificial intelligence, and robotics, which emerged with the development of technology, are included within the scope of Industry 4.0. Phenomena such as how the production and consumption processes work today and how they affect employment and unemployment are important for us to understand the fourth industrial revolution better.
