When Chinese Medicine Meets Constructive Realism: Cooperation since 2007 (Fengli Lan)

(Fengli Lan) When Chinese Medicine Meets Constructive Realism: Cooperation since 2007 1. How did you learn to know Friedrich Wallner and the Construktive Realism? By recommendation of Prof. Dr. Paul U. Unschuld in 2006, currently the Direc- tor of Horst-Görtz-Stiftungsinstitut of Charité-Universitätsmedizin in Berlin. In his paper and speech, Constructive Realism, its ontology, methodology, and epistemology are clearly expounded. By the way, I presented two papers at the conference: “Who Translated Huang Di Nei Jing?” and “The Origin of Qi, Yin-Yang and Wu Xing as Chinese Medical Terms and Their Translation”. The proceedings of the conference‚ was published with the title Understanding Traditional Chinese Medicine” by Peter Lang in 2009. The cooperation started since then in 2007 – I have been a backbone mem- ber of two interdisciplinary research projects chaired by Prof. Friedrich Wallner: “Cultural Dependency of Medical Knowledge” and “Theory, Methodology and Structure of TCM”. 2. What publications or ideas by Wallner or about the Construktive Realism have made the biggest impression on you? Why? 2.1 Publications by Prof. Wallner...
