Divorce dates back to the beginning of life on Earth and it continuously gained importance in Europe and around the world from the early 18th century until today due to a number of political, social, and economic reasons. It influences almost every part of society and emerges as a problem of modern life. It can also be observed that it influences all social institutions in Turkey since it is a developing country and its society is rather conservative.
