Papers in Honour of Teresa Bela

by Marta Gibinska (Volume editor) Wladyslaw Witalisz (Volume editor)
©2013 Edited Collection 276 Pages

Summary

This book is a collection of papers on subjects related to poetry and its language. Scholars in literature, translation, linguistics, philosophy and history share their readings of poetic expression from various ages. The result is a multi-disciplinary perspective that affords the reader the rare opportunity of being reminded of the many layers of the appeal and the pleasure of poetry. The volume has been brought together to honour Professor Teresa Bela from the English Department of the Jagiellonian University, herself a teacher and interpreter of poetry.
