Irene F. Blayer is Professor of Romance Linguistics and Interdisciplinary Humanities at Brock University, Canada. Her research spans comparative Romance linguistics, linguistic ethnography, diaspora narratives, and the interplay of orality and literary voice. Jo-Anne S. Ferreira is Senior Lecturer in Linguistics at the University of the West Indies, St. Augustine. Her work explores socio-historical and heritage linguistics studies, including Luso-Caribbean Studies and French-related Creoles in the Southern Caribbean and northern South America. Dulce Maria Scott is Professor of Sociology, Criminal Justice and Sociology at Anderson University. Her research areas include race, ethnicity, migrations, and diaspora formation in the United States.
