Kelly Shergill
Chief Executive Officer

As the CEO of the Peter Lang Publishing Group since 2015, Kelly Shergill manages and oversees all six companies: Peter Lang AG, Peter Lang Copyright AG, Peter Lang GmbH, Peter Lang Inc., Peter Lang Ltd, Peter Lang S.A.

Over the past 25 years, Shergill has demonstrated successful management and growth in a number of senior management positions in the publishing industry. Prior to joining the Peter Lang Publishing Group, she has held the following positions: International Sales Manager for Birkhäuser, International Sales & Marketing Director for the Springer Verlag Group, Export Sales Director for the Academic Section of Oxford University Press, Head of International Distribution for Klopotek & Partner, Managing Director & Country Manager for Asmodee Germany, Vendor Manager for Euroscript Switzerland.

Shergill holds a B.A. with Honours in Economics from the University of Sussex and an M.A. in Economic Development from the University of Leicester.



Vanessa Weber

Vanessa Weber is the CFO of the Peter Lang Publishing Group. For more than 13 years she has been a contributor to the company’s continued growth and success. Weber commenced her traineeship with Peter Lang in 2005, was appointed Head of Global Services in 2012 and has been responsible for the leadership of the Finance Department since 2013.

Following a management-buyout, she assumed co-ownership of the Peter Lang Publishing Group in 2015.



Diana Timm
Global IT Director

Diana Timm is the Global IT Director of the Peter Lang Publishing Group. She has a proven management track record and over 20 years of experience driving IT-development and sales growth in the publishing industry.

Previously, she served as Strategic Sales Manager for arvato Systems, Publishing IT Manager for Taylor & Francis, Senior Consultant for Klopotek & Partner and Head of Database Marketing for WEKA Media.

Timm holds degrees in Business Administration from the Bavarian Academy for Advertising and Marketing.



Adam Gardner
Group Commercial Director

Adam Gardner oversees all of Peter Lang's commercial activities, managing the sales, marketing and customer service teams globally.

He has over 15 years of experience in academic publishing. After obtaining his doctorate from the University of Cambridge, he has held sales and commercial roles with Ovid, CABI and Swets. Most recently, he worked as General Manager EMEA for Alexander Street Press (a ProQuest company).
