PIE Peter Lang publishing house has been active since 1999, the result of the takeover of Presses Interuniversitaires Européennes (PIE), a Belgian publishing house founded in 1985, by the Peter Lang Publishing Group.
Our mission: aid each specialist in the humanities and social sciences to publish and share their research both globally and locally. We offer our authors a personal, efficient and high-quality service, and we undertake to bring all our books to the attention of the targeted readership all over the world.
We principally publish monographs and edited collections, primarily in European languages. The manuscripts we receive are all subject to double peer review.
Many prestigious institutions rely on us for the publication of their works: French Ministry of Foreign Affairs, for whom we have been publishing the Diplomatic Documents since 2000, the Robert Schuman House, the George Pompidou Association and the LabEx (Laboratories of Excellence in France), EHNE and ICCA are major examples of that kind of collaboration.
The core disciplines of our program are history, European studies, linguistics, arts and literature, and educational sciences. We are also developing high-quality series in philosophy, economics, law, environmental studies and other disciplines in the humanities.
Are you a specialist in the humanities? Let’s talk about your project. Supporting you is our top priority.
