Series founded by Marc Mormont The EcoPolis series is dedicated to the analysis of changes that occur simultaneously in society and the environment when the latter becomes a fundamental concern. For a long time the environment was defined as being external to society, like the world of nature and ecosystems which serves as a material foundation for social life. Thus the aim of environmental policies has been to "preserve", to "protect" or even to "manage" that which was seen as a sort of infrastructure of our societies. After several decades of environmental policy, nature and the environment have become objects of government and it is seemingly within the same movement that each society models its environment and shapes itself. This dialectic will be central to the series. Collection fondée par Marc Mormont Depuis sa création en 2002, la　collection　EcoPolis analyse les changements qui se produisent simultanément dans　la société et dans l’environnement, quand celui-ci　fait l'objet d'une préoccupation　majeure. Au fil des volumes, la collection suit l’évolution des problématiques　environnementales, en interrogeant la manière dont ces　dernières sont devenues consubstantielles　des questions économiques, sociales et politiques. L’environnement　a longtemps été défini comme extérieur à la société, comme un monde où la　nature et les écosystèmes constituent le soubassement　matériel de la vie sociale.　Les politiques d’environnement avaient alors pour but de　« préserver », « protéger », voire « gérer » ce　qui était pensé comme une　sorte d’infrastructure de nos sociétés. Après　quelques décennies de politiques d’environnement, la nature et l’environnement　sont devenus des objets de　l’action publique et il apparaît que c’est dans un　même mouvement que chaque société modèle son environnement et se construit　elle-même. Cette　dialectique prend une importance accrue quand les sociétés se　trouvent confrontées, du fait de la montée en puissance des changements　globaux, aux　transformations irréversibles de l’environnement (changement climatique, perte de biodiversité, etc.). C’est le rapport　entre la dialectique sociétés / environnement et ces transformations que la collection　entend　explorer.

Business and Innovation

The creation of new activities, of news production and consumption modes, of new goods and services, of new markets and new jobs (etc.) depends as much on the heroic action of entrepreneurs as on the strategies of big corporations which develop their activities at a global scale. Innovation and business are interlinked. The main themes of the books published in this series are: «　Entrepreneurship, enterprise and innovation　»; «　Innovation strategies in a global context　»; «　Innovation policies and business climate　»; «　Innovation, business dynamics and socio-economic change　». The synergies between innovative entrepreneurship, firms’ strategies and innovation policies is of major importance in the explanation of technological paradigms change and of the transformations in economic and social structures of wealthy and less wealthy countries. In this series are published books in English or in French specialized in economics, management and sociology of innovation and also dealing with change and entrepreneurship in a local, national or international perspective. This series is supported by the Research Network on Innovation. This series is directed by the Réseau de Recherche sur l’Innovation. La création de nouvelles activités, de nouveaux modes de production et de consommation, de nouveaux biens et services, de nouveaux marchés, de nouveaux emplois, etc. repose aussi bien sur l’action héroïque des entrepreneurs que sur la stratégie des grandes entreprises qui se déploient sur une échelle mondiale. L’innovation et les affaires sont intrinsèquement liées. Trois grandes thématiques seront particulièrement privilégiées : « Entrepreneuriat, entreprise, innovation et développement durable » ; « Innovation et réseaux » ; « L’Innovation dans un contexte global ». Les rapports synergiques entre entrepreneuriat innovant, stratégies des firmes et politiques d’innovation est un axe majeur dans le changement des paradigmes technologiques et la modification des structures économiques et sociales des pays riches et moins riches. Dans la collection sont publiés en français ou en anglais des ouvrages d’économie, de management et de sociologie de l’innovation, du changement et de l’entrepreneur dans une perspective locale, nationale et internationale. This interdisciplinary and international book series aims to bring together current approaches in the environmental humanities (particularly in the fields of ecocriticism, environmental history, and environmental justice), with a focus on European contexts. It comprises thematic and theoretical studies which engage ecological issues, climate change, and the discourse of the Anthropocene, seeking to understand the forms of their representation across different media, cultures, and historical periods. „Studies in Literature, Culture, and the Environment" aim to connect the environmental humanities to the social and natural sciences and thus to contribute to the remediation of ecological problems. The series comprises monographs and edited volumes in both German and English. All publications will be peer reviewed. Book proposals are welcome and may be submitted to the editors. Sie umfasst theoretische und gegenstandsbezogene Studien, die sich mit dem Umwelt- und Klimawandel wie auch dem Anthropozän-Diskurs aus geistes- und kulturwissenschaftlicher Perspektive auseinandersetzen und die Formen ihrer narrativen und bildlichen Darstellung epochen- und kulturraumübergreifend ausloten. Zudem schlägt sie eine Brücke zu den umweltbezogenen Sozial- und Naturwissenschaften und will so zum besseren Verständnis ökologischer Probleme beitragen.
