In der Reihe “Sprache im Kontext“ erscheinen Monographien und einschlägige Sammelwerke zur Linguistik. Es werden Forschungsergebnisse der Soziolinguistik, Psycholinguistik und Textlinguistik präsentiert. Mit Veröffentlichungen unter anderem zu den Bereichen Sprache und Politik, Vorurteilsforschung und Diskriminierung, Genderforschung, Mehrsprachigkeit und Fremd- und Fachsprachendidaktik bietet die Reihe ein breites Spektrum angewandt-sprachwissenschaftlicher Themen. Sie wird herausgegeben von Professorin Ruth Wodak und Professor Martin Stegu.

Moderne – Kulturen – Relationen

Die Reihe Moderne – Kulturen – Relationen befasst sich im Fachbereich Theologie mit der Sozialwissenschaft christlicher Prägung. Die Monographien und Sammelbände der Reihe beschäftigen sich mit theoretischen Reflexionen und Praxisanwendungen einer Sozialethik und Ethik als Verantwortung in der Moderne. Schwerpunkte sind dabei beispielsweise Jugendkriminalität und Ethik in der Wirtschaft. Die Reihe erscheint in deutscher, französischer und spanischer Sprache.

Interdisziplinärer Dialog - Ethik im Gesundheitswesen

In der modernen Medizin und Pflege nimmt der Wissenszuwachs über den Menschen rasant zu und ständig eröffnen sich neue Handlungsmöglichkeiten. Moralische Fragen werden dabei auf der individuellen und sozialen Ebene aufgeworfen: Welche der zur Verfügung stehenden Handlungsmöglichkeiten ist die einem Menschen angemessene? Wie weit soll der medizin-technische Fortschritt gehen, und wie lässt er sich von der Gesellschaft finanzieren und fair verteilen? Antworten auf diese den Menschen und die Gesellschaft in ihrem moralischen Kern betreffenden Fragen zu suchen, ist eine grosse ethische Herausforderung für die Menschen in der Postmoderne im Kontext einer pluralistischen Gesellschaft. Vor diesem Hintergrund ist der interdisziplinäre Dialog aller Betroffenen heute besonders dringlich. Er ist Voraussetzung für verantwortliches Handeln in Medizin und Pflege. Die vorliegende Buchreihe Interdisziplinärer Dialog Ethik im Gesundheitswesen soll zu diesem Dialog einen aktiven Beitrag leisten. Publiziert werden Kongressberichte, Tagungsbände, Dissertationen, Festschriften etc., welche sich interdisziplinär mit moralischen Problemen und Fragestellungen des Gesundheitswesens auseinandersetzen. Ausserdem bietet die Reihe Platz für konkrete Handlungsvorschläge zu einzelnen Krankheitsbildern und verschiedenen Problemfeldern des Gesundheitswesens. Theorie und Praxis sollen gleichgewichtig zu Wort kommen. Es werden Manuskripte in deutscher, französischer und englischer Sprache aufgenommen. This series will publish original work in theoretical and applied linguistics—both diachronic and synchronic—covering topics in the fields of phonology, morphology, lexis, syntax, semantics, and pragmatics. This series emphasizes issues in contemporary systematic theology but is open to theological issues from the past. Works in this series seek to explore such issues as the relation of reason and revelation, experience and doctrine, the meaning of revelation, method in theology, Trinitarian Theology, the doctrine of God, Christology, sacraments and the Church. Of course other issues such as ecumenical relations or specific doctrinal studies on topics such as predestination or studies evaluating particular influential theologians may be considered. Authors whose work is critical, constructive, and ecumenical are encouraged to consider this series. Studies in Life Writing

Studies in Life Writing: Biography, Autobiography, Memoir welcomes full-length studies of life writing in all its forms: biography, autobiography, memoir, journals, diaries, blogs, and so forth. Dovetailing nicely with the critical theories of the later twentieth century, life writing questions the divide between fact and fiction, challenges the possibility of presenting a life objectively, and examines how the shaping forces of language and memory prohibits any simple attempts at truth and reference. Provocatively, interest in life writing has increased as both autobiographical and biographical narratives have become a major presence on the Internet, and the growth of literary nonfiction has prompted a resurgence of life narratives and memoirs. The series invites both single-authored book-length studies and multi-authored essay collections on the theory and/or pedagogy of life writing.

Towards a Universal Civilization

This series aims to promote an integration of sciences, humanities, and a discussion of the diversity of religions and cultures. We encourage an interdisciplinary approach, perceived as a means to seek common truths in reference to individual life and the life among local and national communities. We are interested in texts, monographs and collections of texts that debate the forms of experiencing the self in relation to itself, to other people, and towards nature and culture. We hope to open up an opportunity for a dialogue instrumental in the philosophical search of the intellectual points of agreement.
